This place has been around for so long. I grew up in Stillwater. I still just don’t understand how you get so much ice cream for so little cost in comparison to what everything else is these days. Even your kids cone will come with two scoops on top. The ice cream is always top-notch. The service is always fast regardless of how long the line is outside. But do know they only take cash, so if you want to avoid ATM fees in store, make sure you have some in advance.
We've taken our boys to Big Dipper, 2 Scoops and Sébastien Joe's, not to mention malts and shakes at Leo's Malt Shop, but after today, Nelson's is their #1. Great selection, ridiculously large portions and the pricing is on point. Wish we lived closer, but we'll try to get back!
