The bathrooms were discussingly dirty and my granddaughter's food was burnt and we asked for them to fix it and it came out and it just tasted weird so she didn't eat.

What a fun stop! We took my friend’s 1966 Chevelle convertible on a sunny September day and cruised along the river drive to get here. It really felt like the perfect destination for muscle car lovers — there were plenty of other classic cars pulling in too.
We chose to eat at the picnic area, but you can also pull into the drive-in spots for the full experience. I had the Cali Burger, which was tasty, and the shakes are definitely worth ordering. It’s a classic drive-in vibe with friendly service and a nostalgic atmosphere.
The only downside was the number of bees buzzing around the picnic area, so just be prepared for that. Otherwise, it’s a great stop along the river, especially if you love cruising, cars, and old-school drive-in food.

I love the fact that they serve krinkle fries it’s a huge plus! The burgers are huge and made with Angus beef. The menu has something for everyone and a large outdoor dining area. You can also be served in your car. The staff is highly competent and fun to be around. It’s in a great location, you can’t ask for much more. It’s “better and more fun times dining” My new go to place and I don’t mind driving 40 minutes to get there.

Im pretty sure this is my first restaurant review ever. My partner and I were in town visiting and decided to stop by for lunch. The burger and chicken burger we ordered were SO delicious. But best of all we loved the sweet potato fries! Literally the best fries we’ve ever had. Also our waitress, Mikayla was very nice and attentive. Thanks for great service :)

It is a drive in restaurant so the fun aspect is over the top. If you haven't experienced car side service, you must give it a try. The food is also very good.

Awesome place awesome rootbeer. It's in Taylor's falls. Coming down the hill coming from the cities, take a left at the first stop light before going over the bridge. It a few blocks down the road on your right hand side.

Love this place! Came here years ago and now it’s part of my hiking ritual every time I visit Taylors Falls. Get the burger and fries with the root beer float 🍺 can’t go wrong with that.

While I could really get into why my rating isn't higher with a play by play of our visit, I'll summarize by highlighting what makes this a 3 star rating.
Our waitress was very kind, and as attentive as one would expect.
You seat yourself after being given a menu at the front, and it took us a very long time to be greeted. They were relatively busy, but it's not like they were totally packed.
The food didn't take all that long to be served, but it was still about 45 minutes after we took our seats. If this was a date night with just my wife and I, this wouldn't be a huge deal. Unfortunately we had our hungry and anxious 2 year old with us.
The food was good. I had a cheeseburger with jalapenos, I can't complain about it. To call it just okay would be a little inaccurate, but it certainly wasn't amazing.
My wife had a chicken sandwich with some sort of barbeque sauce on it, she said it was fine.
My daughter got chicken tenders and grapes. The grapes were pretty mushy, but the chicken tenders were actually very well done. I stole a bite when she filled her mouth with soggy grapes. The chicken was the best food on the table.
The fries were very underwhelming. I've had crinkle cut fries that knocked my socks off, but these were flavorless and mushy. I think I read in the menu that they are cooked in beef tallow which was very surprising due to the lack of flavor. They were unsalted.
The root beer was incredible, and quite expensive. I think it was $2 with the purchase of a basket meal, and $4 for a refill. So yeah, probably won't be doing that again. I'll have to settle for a trip to Culver's for a great root beer with free refills in the future.
We didn't try a malt, but discussed dining elsewhere next time we're in town for the Interstate Park and maybe swinging back around for dessert after filling up.
Did not try the mini golf, maybe we will when our kid is a little older.
Overall we spent about $60, and while that's not horrible it certainly isn't great.
