“Great coffee shop with a friendly atmosphere. The barista, Asa was fast paced , knowledgeable, and social when time allowed. We will definitely be stopping here for coffee when in Town. Also had Gluten free oatmeal as breakfast options.”
“This is a litteral hole in the wall... but the old school bar decor and atmosphere is still inviting...Sorry forgot to take pics but burgers and wings were juicy and delish...only had one guy manning the bar, dining room and cooking...but he was on top of everything... friendly service awesome food and the drinks never ran dry! Sorry... forgot your name but you are FABULOUS dude!”
“We enjoyed a relaxing afternoon here, with beautiful Fall colors, unfortunately it started to rain and got chilly quick, so we didn't have the opportunity to venture through the vineyard. For something new, I purchased a wine tasting package for two, through Groupon. Really glad I did. We enjoyed sitting near the wood stove, sampling our flights of wine, along with a wedge of cheese and crackers. After that we had the opportunity to get a glass of wine, a canned ale, or a hard cider. They had a couple types of beer on tap as well. They usually offer three types of hard cider, but only had one available. We chose the cider that was available and went out on the deck to enjoy the music. I can't remember the gentleman's name, but if you check the winery schedule, it was the last Saturday of the season to have music. The music was quite nice, and appropriate for the location. If you're looking for a place to eat, the winery is very limited. Be sure to check their website.”
“Visited during our camping trip and the shakes were delicious. Will definitely be back and I've told many this is a must stop for a little day trip or if passing through Taylors falls.”
“My wife and I frequently go here for food or drinks or both. Best food in the area for sure along with a friendly and talented staff! From great burgers, to amazing grilled chicken bacon ranch sandwiches and all in-between, your sure to wanna come back soon once you've been there!”
“We love everything about this special place! The coffee, that is roasted on site, is the best in the state! The food and bakery goods are always delicious! The employees and owners are AMAZING! Having owned a coffee in Minneapolis, this one stands above all others. A must stop if coming through the St. Croix area.”
“Would highly recommend for kids and grandpas! Took them both over the weekend for ice cream and cookies which resulted in all being very happy. For littles they have a junior size which is not listed on the menu, but is very much appreciated for folks with kids.”
“My boyfriend and I came here to eat, we both got omelettes. Mine was pretty good, a little bland but easily fixed with salt and pepper. My boyfriend had requested his omelette not have mushrooms, when it came out it had mushrooms. He was just picking them out when he found plastic in his food. We informed the waitress, Kim, and she was super helpful, kind, and understanding of the mistake, didn’t seem annoyed at all like some waitresses would get being that were pretty busy. They definitely made up for their mistake. Thank you, Kim :-)”
“We were just driving by finding somewhere to eat quick and wow we don’t live close and we will be back! The food was so good! Even my boyfriend was impressed and he hates going out! The server was nice and attentive and seemed like a cute family vibe! Like I said we live in the twin cities so not close but we will definitely making our way back to try more stuff the menu is huge! 10 out 10 in our book!”
“Cute cafe. I had dinner here before and it was not my favorite, but the breakfast today was really good. Something that bothered me today was that one of the staff, a male cashier, purposely photo bombed multiple photos, that another (very nice female busser) was taking of my partner and I. It was unprofessional. Thankfully the girl taking the photos continued to take multiple shots and by the last couple photos, he had left.”
“Stopped in for Monday night bingo and it was a good time for everyone in our group. We had French fries, California burgers, and signature burgers (burgers were on special) along with loaded nachos. The service was just right too. We will definitely be back for bingo and burgers, maybe even a pizza next time. Was a nice experience.Parking: There is parking out front of the building on both sides of the street and there is also a decent sized lot out back for overflow parking all of which is close to an entrance.”
“Best place for hot drinks in Polk County, service is always great and the drinks are always great. Very accommodating and friendly with large orders despite how annoying it probably is.”
“Lovely lil lady in front of house, definitely found a new local favorite. Singapore Mai fun was amazing, tho, I like spicy, so next time I'll have em add a bit more. Perfect amount of vegetables to meat to nood! Highly recommend!Parking: Not the best for parking, but the fact I hit five stars, on every thing else. It's worth it.”
“Anna and Irv are so amazing and the sweetest people you could ever meet. The wine is amazing and they have beer. The food is great doesn't matter if you have sweatpants or a suit they welcome everyone. Please come check them out and support them. Awesome and relaxing atmosphere.”
“Fantastic dive bar! Fun local crowd playing pool and cribbage. Holly the bartender provided great drinks, delicious food and sparkling conversation. I love a bar with clever, funny signs and pictures in the wall, and this one delivers. Gentleman, beware the girly picture in the bathroom!”
“Their curry was fantastic!Vegetarian options: Their menu was surprisingly large with lots of vegetarian and vegan options :)Dietary restrictions: I have food allergies and they were very accommodating.”
“All in all this a great place if you are craving that "chipotle" style of Mexican food. Portions are generous, prices are basically on point with pretty much everywhere else these days, wife had a quesadilla while I had a burrito bowl and it ran about $35 with tip. Lots of seating with a very open floor concept.”
“After reading other reviews of the Crystal tavern the wife and I decided to give it a shot. It's true that you get free drinks if you're gambling! They have a few 4 seat tables and possibly the most comfortable bar stools I've ever sat on. The only thing that I didn't like about our experience was that our Jack and Cokes were extremely weak, like 1/2 of an ounce and served in a disposable cup. I guess that's why the majority of the people there were drinking cans/bottles of beer.Pull tabs + free drinks= fun! That is if you win. Worth a stop though.”
“Great place. wonderful welcoming vibe. family friendly... in the hub of a recreational paradise, MTB, hiking, skiing, running, camping, riding state and county trails”
“The food was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic. The staff was wonderfully friendly all smiles and great suggestions for a first time visit. Finn and Christian had top notch customer service. 100% will be back againKid-friendliness: Very family friendly atmosphere.”
“Five star!!! The experience!!! Alicia and Adam are amazing at the bar! Total duo vibe taking care of every customer. The drinks made with passion. The food so delish. Fish fry yummy and beautiful! Timely runners for the food. Popovers and handmade butter unbelievable. The music absolutely LOVE their personal playlist. So FAB!!!”
“It was a Monday night 1/2 price burger baskets, They had pool table leagues going on and only the bartender and cook was working so the bartender was extremely busy but she did the best she could. The girlfriend and myself both got burger baskets and they were excellent.”
“Had lunch after our trip on the train. We were with a large group of friends. We were able to call ahead and told them we had a large group and they were able to accommodate us when we got there. The food was fabulous. Had the classic hamburger and it was very good! My husband had the Ruben and he said it was small but very good. Will most definitely come back again.”
“Ward's is awesome! Every 2nd and last Friday of the month, they have a meat raffle! The whole raffle costs $20 bucks and only takes about an hour and a half!”
“St. Croix tavern is your standard Wisconsin bar. They have a full bar, darts, pull tabs, and pool. What more could you want? The owner and bartender is a nice guy and this place has live music pretty frequently. Prices are standard for a bar in the area. It's a clean place with few frills. Just good drinks and good conversations.”
“If you are in Taylor’s Falls, this is a can’t miss spot! We had Ribs and Pulled Pork! Both were tender and full of flavor! They’ve got great options for Togo as well, but we sat and ate while enjoying a spotted cow!”
“Can't say enough good about this place. The food has always been amazing, and I've been going here for a number of years, even when they have been at different locations, always great. Servers are always amazing. They're fun, and not overbearing. Just an all around great experience. And I look forward to continuing to visit!”

“Was just at the winery, beautiful. Darla was such a big help. Food was great. Darla was very informative about the membership. I joined and am looking forward to all the events.”
“My husband and I are huge fans of Tangled up in Blue! We love the small intimate atmosphere. The food is amazing, The chef really knows how to cook and you wont be disapointed. This is a family owned and operated small restaurant, so the staff always knows who we are, and its nice to catch up when we stop in.”
