Larsmont Trading Post is truly a gem of the North Land! Their food and drink menu is top notch and the live music they regularly have always creates an amazing atmosphere on the North Shore! I’m also impressed by the cleanliness. Whether you’re in town on vacation or live in the Duluth area, Larsmont is an absolute MUST stop. 5 stars every time from us!

If you’re in the Two Harbors area or just passing through on Highway 61 between Duluth, MN and Two Harbors, MN, be sure to stop in to this little hidden gem of a cafe!

From Highway 61, it doesn’t look like open until you get off onto the Scenic Highway 61 route and stop in.

You’ll be greeted with warm smile and welcome feeling stepping into a small gift shop. Take a couple steps in and the place opens up to a nice seating area with a stage for entertainment. They have a great, small, outdoor patio for seating as well.

Every Thursday is “open mic” night for any local (or passing through musician) to open up and play your own music. Check their website site for other live music events as there are many booked.

Their menu is packed with a variety of different options from sandwiches to nachos to pizzas to wraps! And, tasted great too!

I got a coffee from there which was really good a different taste and exactly what I needed after exhausting day.

A cozy North Shore stop that nails the balance between comfort food and fresh, flavorful fare. The smoked salmon wrap was outstanding — bright lemon-dill flavors wrapped in a spinach tortilla — and the apple pie with ice cream was the perfect sweet finish. Friendly service, a relaxed vibe, and a menu that makes it hard to choose just one thing make this a must-visit when driving along Scenic 61.

We were the only people in the restaurant on a Tuesday at 7pm. Was a little worried about that. But our server told us they have been super busy the past few weeks. The food was good. The music was 80's top hits, which I liked and it was just background music. Easy to talk over. Will be back again.

This is a hidden gem along the North Shore of Minnesota, located just northeast of Knife River on the Scenic Drive that skirts Lake Superior. Their food is excellent, and their space is clean, full of wonderful gift ideas, and there is plenty of seating. On evenings there is often live music to enjoy, as well. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend stopping in.

Cute little spot, cheap food and small town atmosphere. Recommend the chicken salad sandwich, really good bread.

Probably the best iced coffee I’ve ever had. Breakfast sandwich was delicious. Bacon cooked perfectly crisp and the English muffin toasted on the grill. Served HOT and fresh. Gift shop had super cool items from local artists and companies such as Duluth Pack. Fun items for sale for kids to do on the road too.
