Stopped by at 11:30 on a Wednesday. Service was beyond slow. Waitress never checked on us, never came back. We never got our pie we ordered with our meal. We couldn’t find our waitress after waiting a long time. Not impressed at all. My husband’s hamburger was good, the salmon salad was fair at best. The Cesar dressing didn’t have any flavor, tasted bland. The salmon was dry.

Easily the best pie on the north shore, maybe in the entire state! I've stopped here countless times and order 3-4 slices for myself on trips up north camping and backpacking. I'm always pleasantly surprised. From fruit pies to cream pies the Rustic Inn always leaves me smiling and satisfied!!

I've been recommending this place to countless amounts of people over the past couple years.

I can't say anything about their other food as we only order pie, and lots of it.

I heard this place was amazing for their pies so we decided to check it out. So glad we did! We had a sandwich/soup and pie special for a reasonable price! The food was amazing and the pie was delicious!! The staff were friendly and greeted us with a smile. It was a Thursday mid morning and we had about a 15 min wait. We waited in the gift shop and looked around. It's a nice gift shop with assortment of items. Definitely will be back when we are up in the area.

Pies are good, food is decent but overpriced. However, the staff wasn't nice (Michelle was our server), extremely cold room and they wouldn't accomodate, they had ran out of multiple menu options and don't tell you until you chose them. They have a stupid policy about not being able to cut your full pies or allow you to do it without a charge so you have to order them to go. They didn't clean the dirty dishes before bringing coffee and desserts. They charged 20% tip even though the menu says 18% for +9 people party. Cherry on top is they offer signing in for loyalty program and earn 295 points (worth $30) on the receipt and when we try to do it they say; sorry not available. Terrible experience. Won't go back.

The food here is pretty solid if what you want on the menu isn’t sold out. They don’t like to make any sort of customizations or accommodations, though. The place is very cute but can’t seat large groups (9 people) together, so you’ll need to split up your group or go elsewhere.

My main issue is that our waitress was so rude and unpleasant. The weird thing is she was nice to my parents and grandparents, who sat at their own table, but at the “kids’ table” (we are all 24–30, so not really kids), she was rude, short, unaccommodating, and absent. I don’t know her name, but we came in on 7/12 and she was wearing a blue shirt with a cross on it—not the uniform other staff had on. I can only assume that she was rude to us because we were young and she didn’t want to deal with us.

Now once again, we’re all mid-20s or older. We weren’t being rowdy or difficult. It made no sense otherwise, because she was rude from the moment she got to our table. They were sold out of a lot and tried to make substitutions but were told the kitchen wouldn’t do it. But the table behind us had a different waitress, and they were willing to make things work and piece together dishes to make up for sold-out ingredients. Because of this, we will not be back. Service, especially at a touristy place like this, is soooo important and will make or break a place. Very disappointing.

Great location after spending the day at Gooseberry Falls. Great food, the carrot cake was so good. Beautiful art work for sale on the walls. Gift shop is a bonus. I would reccomend.

Being disappointed with the breakfast at the crossings ( worst ever), we decided to try the Rustic. We were very satisfied! Very good food, wonderful customer service and that Raspberry cream pie was amazing!!

Always great food and great pie. However, just for general knowledge, we went on Saturday afternoon and put our name in at 1pm. Was told about an hour wait. 1 hour and 45 minutes later we sat down. Took 3 hours to get lunch

I'm really disappointed in our Thursday night service. Yes, it was busy, but even taking that into consideration, it just didn't live up to previous experiences. The walleye cakes on previous visits were divine. Tonight, they were fish flavored bread. The stuffed shells were bland (and weren't prepped with our other orders, so one of us waited another 10 minutes to eat). The Caesar salad was overdressed and extremely garlicky. Even the 5 layer chocolate pie was ho-hum. I'm worried that there's a significant decline, but I'm hopeful it was just a bad night.
