This may be due to mid January, but avoid this breakfast buffet. Overpriced ($17) and the food was equivalent to a cheap hotel continental breakfast. Pretty sure they were serving powdered eggs. One server on staff, so getting a refill of water was a big ask.

We hadn’t been here for quite some time. We sat on the deck overlooking Leech Lake and it was beautiful. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and they reminded me of shrimp tacos from Florida, which were fantastic!
5 of us for dinner. First it took 15 minutes to even see the hostess let alone be seated. After seating we waited too long for drinks. We were already to walk and they came. Next, steak was ordered and the server then informed us they were out. We ordered shrimp cocktail to share as an appetizer. It sat on the hot serving counter for another 10-15 minutes and instead of cocktail sauce it was served with salsa! That was terrible and the hostess manager laughed at it. Finally our food arrived. 1 completely wrong entree and burgers that were cooked much to long We had to take a drink to swallow it. The person with the wrong entree played on her phone while everyone ate their meal until hers arrived. For $138.00, this meal was totally gone wrong. Not even an apology for this disaster of a meal. Do not go here to eat!

We waited 20 minutes for the host to even acknowledge us after 3 other families arrived after us. She told us it would be a 40 minute wait or longer when they were at maybe 10% capacity with almost all tables available

We were staying at Chase on the Lake with our kids and decided to go to dinner at the hotel restaurant to make it an easy night. It was a Tuesday and we had to wait 15 minutes for a table (one that was already open when we first arrived). It also took almost an hour for us to get our food. We had young kids with (11 months and 4 years old) so it's a lot to ask your kids to sit still for that long. We decided to ask for our food to go since it was taking so long. Not once did our server come by and apologize for the wait. Absolutely blows my mind that on a Tuesday night where they weren't even that busy that it would take that long for food to come out. I would not recommend coming here with small children because you will wait a long time for your food.

We just celebrated our anniversary here. I had the Mac and cheese and shrimp scampi along with a ceasar salad and my wife had the walleye dinner. We each had a signature cocktail. The entire meal was excellent and the service was awesome.

For the past couple of years eating at the 502 located in the Chase by the lake hotel has been disappointing. The news owners have had a lot of work to do over the past 2 years and their work is now showing up at the 502
For the first time in years, I can say I throughly enjoyed my dinner . The new menu offeres choices everyone in the family will enjoy. If you have kids,.the new options are great and at a reasonable price $10.
Live music in the bar tonight was the icing on the cake. Last year (2024), if anyone suggested the 502 for a meal, I would have begrudgingly said ok
In 2025, if anyone asks me where I want to go for lunch or dinner, the 502 is back at the top of the list. I am thrilled to be able to write this review

My wife and I wanted to meet our son and daughter-in-law for Easter Brunch. Meeting in Walker was halfway for both of us. Had reservations to another Walker restaurant, but for some reason changed our minds Sunday morning, and I'm so glad we did. We had never been there before, and we all loved it. Loved the atmosphere, loved the food and all the wonderful choices. Loved how very kind and attentive the staff was. It was a great experience, and we can't wait to meet there again. So glad we tried it, and didn't get too caught up in some of the less then great ratings. It was great!
This place is perfect for a casual dining. We sat by the verandah facing the ocean. and the food comes in large portions I had to request for a doggie bag as it was delicious I didn't wanna waste it. The staff is amazing and friendly (Keene and Justin at the bar). We will be back. Only issue it was mostly closed.
Just below average and my expectations are not that high.

Everything was just okay. Not impressive, but also not terrible. You can tell they are struggling here. It's too bad, because the place has so much potential to be a real classy place. The view of the lake in the dinning room is nice. And it's nice that the cooks get to see that view while they are working too.
