The Sunday special pork loin sandwich was embarrassing. It's a thin frozen breaded piece of low-grade pork. It should not be called a Sunday special and it should not be called a pork loin. It should not be offered. But our friendly server took it off the bill because we didn't eat it. The rest was good--what you expect of a legion.

Stopped into the American Legion in Walker and ended up at one of the best meat raffles I’ve ever experienced. The real highlight? The raffle caller—an absolute legend. Not only did he keep the energy high and the crowd engaged, but he sang “Proud to Be an American” to end the evening!

It was heartfelt, lots of fun, and somehow patriotic all at once. He’s truly an inspiration—proof that a great attitude and a little creativity can bring a whole community together.

Great American Legion in a convenient location. Very bright and clean with friendly people inside including staff. Nice menu with good food options, nice drinks. Free popcorn with butter! Pull tabs, gaming room, lots of seating. Ample parking. A true gem for the city!

The American Legion is such a vital place to this community. Come and support, whether it is through the meat raffle, pull tabs or blood donation. This location hosts so many meaningful events.

The guy who was the manager was so rude to is and this was our first ever going there! He needs to aim to please the customer. Be more personable and not so rude!

The Legion suffers staffing issues like most veteran establishments. Regardless of being understaffed, our waitress was very friendly and checked on us. The prime rib dinner is delicious. You have the option of a queen or king cut and it came with a baked potato and salad. The potato was large and fully cooked. The atmosphere is typical veteran feel with pull tabs sold here also.

If you're going to this American Legion up in Walker after 1:00 and are hungry, forget about it and go to a restaurant as they have no food until later. But their drinks will kick your butt and it's always a fun time at the American Legion.
They do have pretty good bar food after 5:00 p.m.

My girlfriend and I were just passing through the city and wanted a bite to eat. I'm a veteran so I figured I'd stop at the American Legion. Just as I expected, the service was outstanding and the food was good. I felt comfortable and we enjoyed ourselves. A really good place for folks that are just passing through a new area. I would certainly join if I were living there.
