If you're going to this American Legion up in Walker after 1:00 and are hungry, forget about it and go to a restaurant as they have no food until later. But their drinks will kick your butt and it's always a fun time at the American Legion. They do have pretty good bar food after 5:00 p.m. ??

My girlfriend and I were just passing through the city and wanted a bite to eat. I'm a veteran so I figured I'd stop at the American Legion. Just as I expected, the service was outstanding and the food was good. I felt comfortable and we enjoyed ourselves. A really good place for folks that are just passing through a new area. I would certainly join if I were living there.

Burger over cooked. (Hockey puck)My burger was half the size of my wife's burger yet we ordered same thing.Unfortunately for waitress, she was only one working and bar was too busy for that.

This was a fun outing. It was a busy Friday night, but the bartender serving us was very good. The atmosphere was busy and loud, with guys playing pool, someone shooting darts and a meat raffle going on. But it was energizing and fun.The drinks were well made. I get long island iced teas and often they taste like lighter fluid! This one was perfect. The only complaint I have is the fish special. Pollack was a set of skinny, flat fried pieces that really didn't taste like anything. Next time, I'll opt for a burger or the cod--which should be an actual piece of fish.

Mom and I stopped in for lunch on Wednesday. She had a burger and fries. I had the chicken Parmesean - my favorite! A huge lightly breaded chicken bread fried with lots of tasty, chunky marinara!
