Love this place! Great food great service great drinks.
Ryan the bar tender is so good an fast. Not only made drinks but took orders for food if you were eating at the bar. And we did because we didn't have reservations. The place was packed.

You need a reservation for this place. We were a party of 2 with a 6:00 reservation on a Wednesday evening in the beginning of October. It is a lovely restaurant with a beautiful view. It was awfully loud. Our server was very courteous and pleasant to interact with. However, we believe she was stretched too thin. It was a long time between when we were seated and when she came to greet us and take our drink order. Our cocktails were very good. It was also a long time between when we placed our food order and when our food was served. My fish entree was fine (nothing special). My husband's boneless pork chop ("Hog Heaven") was over done and quite dry. We did report that to our server and, in the end, she took 50% off my husband's meal price.

Highly recommend it. I've never been burned here. It's under new owners, but it's still great, and the same great staff are there. Amanda is a cutie

New owner, food not the same. Ordered a ribeye but was very disappointed. Not as it used to be - very tough. Must be buying from a different source. Service good but bar tender needs training. Will not go back again.

Went to Boulders for a birthday celebration. It was ok, 4 of us wanted to order the Prawns, they were already sold out at 6:45! Two had the Rib eye. It was ok and only warm not hot. All of our party were disappointed in the serving of vegetables…I had one carrot and 4 string beans for the whole serving. Ordered the mashed russets with and received about a heaping table spoon and that was it. Since they did not have any prawns left we ordered the Walleye it was very thin but a full side. It said it had lemon pepper and we assumed it was grilled or roasted but it was deep fried and no lemon pepper seasoning on it at all . The pork chop and fettuccine was very good but also cold and hardly any veggies on plate. It was well flavored. Good size serving of fries to go with.
The rolls served were very good and warm and a nice plate of dipping oil was great.
Calamari appetizer for $17 was hardly enough for two with a few pieces for each person. Very skimpy portion.
They did offer us a free slice of cake since it was a birthday and all 6 shared that slice.
It was good but nothing to write home about. Our bill with drinks for 6 was over $200+….we would have been happy to have just ordered the bread and dipping oils as an appitizer and gone over to Vergas for a much better dinner at about the same price.

We have been going to Boulders since it opened, always ordered the Jumbilia never ever had a problem. This time everything was the same, except the food. So disappointed tonight with the Jumbilia. Tastes was not the same, presentation horrible very sloppy.
Service was excellent. Something has definitely changed.

Ok always good food and good service
As always, the service and food was impeccable. Be sure to try the hot crab dip appetizer, French onion soup (to die for!), and any number of delicious entrees, martinis, and wines. You can't miss! ?

We had reservations for 7:15. We were seated at 7:30. Lousy service. Drinks were slow. Had to complain after an hour of no food, not even salads. Food was poorly cooked. Finally got food at 9:00 pm. Overpriced and overrated.
Went to Boulders for our anniversary on the recommendation of several people. Must have been a very off night. The setting is nice. The service was extremely slow. The duck wonton appetizer was fantastic, but very expensive for what you get. My wife got a cup of soup to go with her meal that was excellent, and we shared it. The server didn't bring bread until we'd been there for an hour and realized that other tables had bread service and we had to ask for it. I ordered the Crab Stuffed Grouper and a side of sautéed mushrooms. The server said the vegetable of the day was green beans. The grouper was dry, cold and very honestly tasteless. The veg was zucchini and carrots, also just barely warm to go along with the rice. Not enough heat to melt a warm pat of butter. My mushrooms arrived late and was a cup of undercooked fried onions. The server did replace them with mushrooms, which was the only thing I got that was warm. By that time, I was half done with the meal. Wishing I had made dinner at home for our anniversary, my wife said her seafood fettuccine was good, and she asked the server for a to-go container. The server took her plate and said she'd box it up for us. We did get a small piece of cheesecake complimentary that wasn't anything special. Our bill was $100, and on the way home, we realized that the server never did bring us my wife's take-home container. Not at all what we had in mind when we booked our anniversary dinner.

I visited The Boulders on a Thursday before the summer lake season; therefore the hours of operation are quite limited. The service was excellent, our server was very pleasant and attentive to a perfect level; our server didn't hover around checking on every thing. I didn't feel rushed about eating and leaving; I was allowed to set the pace of the evening. I do not enjoy leaving a review on a negative note; the acoustics in the dining room were such that having a conversation with the people I was dining with was difficult. We heard bits and pieces of the conversations around us. There seemed to be no effort to dull the sounds that happen in a large 2 story open room. The over all experience of dining at The Boulders was pleasant if very good food is what you are looking for.
Parking: Handicap parking was limited to a single parking spot, and drop-off space creates a single lane of traffic.
Wheelchair accessibility: The wheelchair accessibility from the parking lot seems adequate. The dining room not so much. The tables are quite close together. I have difficulty walking and I felt quite crowded in the path to and from our table.

The food is amazing, the dining room acoustics not so much. The server was very pleasant and professional. The restaurant parking lot needs work and more than one handicapped parking spot. The service was very good. The prices are fair.
