We were there with visiting family for a dinner out during the week of Christmas. Our part of six was warmly greeted. McKenna was our server and she took fabulous care of us throughout our meal. McKenna had great recommendations and insightful comments about the menu items. The Corn Esquites is exceptional and the Truffle Edamame was also delicious. All of our meals were fantastic whether steak, salmon or sushi. We would definitely return.

McKenna Rupp was our waitress last night as we dined at the most beautiful restaurant. She took very good care of us, made sure we had everything we needed in an appropriate amount of time and we could not have had a better night. The food was delicious, the drinks were just as good. 10/10 restaurant and staff. We will be coming back to try again soon!

We just hosted an event on Macanda’s Patio for a large group. I can’t say enough about how perfect the evening went. The food was delicious, our guests raved about it. The staff members were friendly and efficient. The setting was absolutely beautiful with views of the boats and lake. Highly recommend!

A few weeks ago I celebrated my birthday. The service was very bad, the waiter was very bad, and the food too. The sushi was poorly prepared, my friends complained about the delay in their drinks and food. I do not recommend it!

New menu is 🔥
Macanda has an amazing atmosphere that makes the whole dining experience enjoyable. The service was excellent and the staff was attentive throughout the night. The food was delicious, though a bit on the pricey side. They also offer a great selection of drinks, which really adds to the experience.

This used to be my favorite restaurant before the updated menu to include the Japanese fair. Unfortunately they couldn’t keep their prior reputation with the new menu. I love Japanese food but it did not impress. It is disappointing since their prior menu was outstanding and I raved about it to everyone that would listen. Also the server lied that they didn’t have beer just to sell a cocktail which really soured the mood.

I went to macanda hifi few weeks ago when DJ Adrian was playing. What a great time!
Wanted to specifically thank Joseph ‘the bouncer” for his awesome service and taking care of everyone. Joseph is such a great person and is a complete delight!

Julienne is probably the best waiter in town. The new menu is actually better. It has graduated from the “overpriced taco place” as my son used to call it to a decent restaurant that we can enjoy a nice date night, anniversary or even a business meal.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I felt this experience needed to be shared. My friends and I were genuinely excited for a nice evening out, but the service we received completely soured the night.
We had ordered drinks and our waitress accidentally spilled an entire glass of Aperol Spritz all over one of my friend — who, unfortunately, was wearing a floor-length white skirt. Accidents happen, and we understand that, but what shocked us was the complete lack of reaction or care. The waitress didn’t apologize, barely offered any napkins or assistance, and barely acknowledged what had just happened. She just got a new drink and then asked what we wanted to order, and walked away.
My friend had to sit through the entire dinner soaked and sticky, with no real effort made to make her comfortable or even check in on her. Not only was the drink not comped, but when we brought it up at the end of the meal, the waitress casually replied, “Oops, I forgot that happened. Anyway, I already ran your card.” No apology, no discount, no accountability — just complete indifference.
We left feeling upset, sad for our friend, and incredibly disappointed. Basic decency was lacking, let alone any standard of professional service. It was a frustrating and sad experience, and I genuinely hope the management takes steps to train their staff better on how to handle accidents and show a minimum level of empathy.
