I run thru here for their 99 cent cones and they are huge! The chocolate machine was down but it was still a really good treat! Friendly server and quick! Really good food.

Everything was good except a couple of the employees who need to be socially aware of their surroundings. The conversations and the language carries out into the dinning room for all the customers to hear. Secondly they shouldn’t be balling up paper and throwing it around at each other. Too many kids and no adults to supervise. It’s not a high school cafeteria. It’s a work place and should be treated as such.
Food was good, the worker was nice considering they were very busy, but all of the tables were dirty/sticky, and I think part of that is because they fill the root beer mugs to the brim, so it spills over the side as they carry the mug. Just fill it lower, no one is getting screwed over by filling it to a reasonable level; that's why the mug is so big - to allow for empty space.

Service was good and quick and food was fresh. Family said burgers were good especially the spicy one. Fries and onion rings were fresh, hot and good. Chicken sliders were not the best. Very little flavor and fatty. $60 to spend a family of 6. Restaurant was clean.

Cheese curd was clearly handled improperly after receiving gum in my cheese curds several years ago this is now my sign to eat elsewhere!
Never going here again....Super unfortunate that I am writing this review because I don't want to hate A&W. However 3 out of the 5 times I have been here, they have messed up my order. The workers are extremely insufficient and incompetent. One instance, I asked for a refill in the drive-thru and was denied. I was told refills are allowed inside, but was not allowed inside. So I lost my drink...Like I said, I don't want to hate A&W, but every time I go, my experience is worse. I would not recommend coming here unless its your last option.

There was something making the dining feel like it needed a big cleaning job. Tables and chairs were sticky, floors not as clean as they should be. The grease smell was sickening and they had a fly problem. The person who took our order, couldn't remember what we did order as she was too busy conversing and looking at another worker. As a result of the stale grease smell I couldn't bring myself to order anything, my friend ordered yhe smallest sandwich they had and nothing else. To get my business....The oil/grease for frying needs changing, better ventilation and workers who have people skills not smart phone skills. Hey, a smile and looking at someone's eyes is important! Get some cleaner mixed with disinfectant ASAP for the sticky tables and floors would go a long way in increasing business. This used to be a much better place. The workers were older and knew cleanliness was very important. My suggestion: I believe Lewiston has an A&W and it isnt that far away. If you really crave a root beer float, go there instead. A nice drive on hwy14. Until someone mentions there has been a vast improvement at Winona's A&W, we won't be returning here.
