It's a clean little place and it appeared local patrons enjoyed it as it was around 2 p.m. and people were visiting at the bar. The waitress was pleasant and recommended a couple things off the menu. After ordering, it didn't take long for the freshly made burgers and fries to be served. The food was hot and delucious. Positive experience.”

“We met the down to earth owners of Twin Bluffs in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere heading home from a week in Sturgis. They suggested we hop off the highway the next day as we continued our journey east through Minnesota and try their food. We met outside by their friendly bartender who welcomed us into this spacious, neighborhood style bar. We ordered cheese curds, a Philly cheesecake sandwich with fries and a fish sandwich with fries. The food was outstanding! Hot and was only a short wait. This out of the way place is a true gem. If you find your way around Winona Minnesota, swing on in for the best bar food I’ve had in a long while!”

“Norvary Vietnamese: “A True Treasure!” A local friend told me that this place was a must-try, so my son, his best friend, and I headed over for dinner at 7:20 PM on a Saturday night. The boys ordered the brisket Pho with traditional rice noodles, and his friend substituted the rice noodles for ramen. They raved about their bowls of soup, noting that the bone broth was the best they have ever had! If you are expecting Pho served with bean sprouts, fresh lime wedges, fresh basil sprigs, cilantro, hoisin, and sriracha sauce, you won’t find that here. The Vietnamese cuisine at Norvary is from the Northern region of the country, which I hadn't experienced before. I learned something new today about the culinary world! Much like Indian cuisine, both Northern and Southern Vietnamese dishes feature ingredients that are more readily available in their respective regions. In the cities where I live, with no less than 50 Vietnamese restaurants serving Pho (our family fave is iPho by Saigon on University Ave in Saint Paul), I had never tasted a Northern version of the dish. Northern Pho soups are served with pickled garlic and sriracha on the side. I had to sample it after hearing such fondness and could taste the star anise or similar spice in the broth—yum. I ordered the Pad Thai—I know, it's a Vietnamese restaurant—but the Pad Thai struck a chord while reading over their selections. I asked the counter staff taking orders if they used tamarind, and she said she wasn't sure and couldn't ask as the chefs didn't speak English. This seemed like a good sign that I might be served something authentic. I chose shrimp as the protein, which was mixed with fried tofu pieces. They also serve the dish with a fried egg on top rather than mixed into the dish. The first bite revealed the sweet and sour notes of a great Pad Thai—EXCELLENT! Norvary also has a huge selection of Boba teas and other specialty tropical drinks. The ambiance of the restaurant is clean, calming, and modern. They have a beautiful selection of framed photographs taken in the local owners' hometowns in Vietnam. Winona, MN, is so lucky to have this great locally-owned small business that focuses on bringing new flavors to the area with fresh, QUALITY ingredients, attention to detail in their presentations, and above-average customer service. As a passionate social justice advocate, I deeply appreciate Norvary's commitment to fair wages for their staff. I will gladly pay more for my meals when dining out, knowing it supports obtaining fresh quality ingredients and living wages for the staff. Some reviewers seem to have difficulty understanding that “cheap” in the culinary world often means processed genetically modified "Franken Food" filled with additives and fillers, like corn syrup, blue lake 5 food dye, and hydrogenated oils, which cut corners on quality and staff compensation. I'm excited to introduce my husband to this place and look forward to trying more dishes when we are in town visiting friends. Thanks, Norvary!”

“Friday, December 1st, my son's varsity hockey team played in Winona. We knew that we wanted to get pizzas ordered to be delivered to the arena for the team's bus ride back to Fairmont. When we messaged Rocco's that morning before they were even open to see if they could accommodate our order for deliver at 8:45 pm, they responded right away and said they absolutely could! They text me to let me know when their driver had left and then let me know that their daughter gave them a game update and there was a lot of game left. They told us that they wanted our pizzas to be warm, so we could keep the warmers brought by the delivery driver and simply leave them at the arena for their daughter to grab when she left the arena. We really appreciated the awesome, super accommodating service, amazing pizza and the extra thoughtfulness. Highly recommend!!!!”

“We were on our way home from Lacrosse and wanted a Bloody Mary! We found this place on google! When we arrived the owner was working it use to be her dads bar. We ordered a Bloody Mary and she asked if we want a regular or loaded! We obviously ordered the loaded one and it was more then we ever imagined!!! It was such a good price too!!! These bloodies use to be her dads baby and she continues the tradition! They are only on Sunday and she only makes so many!!! They were 10/10. She was so friendly and welcoming. We bought a shirt before we left! We will be back if we’re in the area again!”

“My husband and I came here for the first time on Sunday for some pregame drinks and food. We had such a great time. It's a very relaxed atmosphere and the owner was awesome. He was fun to talk with and made great food recommendations. So much of their food is fresh and handmade. Their burgers are never frozen and their fries are hand cut daily. I had the BECB (bacon, egg, cheeseburger and my husband had the Mc929 (similar to a Big Mac but much tastier). Both were very good. I did have to season my patty because it didn't really have flavor, but that wasn't a big deal.
Their Bloody Mary's are VERY well crafted. The pickle slices in them were so crispy and flavorful and the beef stick was very tasty.
We stayed until halftime and had a great time. It's not a rowdy or loud sports bar, which we liked. We will definitely be back. It's worth the short trip from West Salem!”

The server/bartender was really friendly and helpful. Great heavy pours for happy hour and probably all the time. Food items are really good and if you’re staying at the hotel, you can actually get food and bring it into the pool area.

Conveniently located right when you come in the south part of town.
