River City Grill Reviews
Major health code violations.
If youve dined here during excessive rain youd know one thing. The roof leaks. However its not limited to just the dining rooms and bar. But directly over every single food prep area. Water seeps through the rotten roof and onto the grill, fryers, and food prep tables in the back. It is disgusting and a major health code violation. Both Mike Rivers and managers know about this and Mike has been trying to sell the restaurant to buyers without informing...read full review
The chicken Alfredo was really dry. I had to ask for more Alfredo sauce to choke it down. they charged $2.50 for about 1/4 cup, which they did reverse the charge after asking about it.
The duck wontons were delicious and worth it to order again in the future!
we a party of 4 ate here 7-31-23, the food took forever to come & understood why, the burgers were so over-cooked they were like hockey pucks, dry & burnt, the bacon was burnt, my husband & friend were so hungry they choked them down, I sent mine back! River City Grill offers a $10.99 medium 2-topping pizza on Tuesdays, featuring a delicious thin crust. The restaurant serves pretty good food, including must-try wings, in a cozy atmosphere. Despite being understaffed, the wait staff provides timely service, making for a quick and enjoyable dining experience. However, the restaurant has limited options for those with dietary restrictions, as gluten-free choices are not clearly available, and some dishes may contain breaded or crouton toppings. Many of the dishes have been overcooked, with some steaks served well done and pasta that is mushy. The marinara sauce can taste sour and old, and some meals, like the ribeye, may not be what they seem. The walleye and rice are well-cooked, and the staff are friendly. Overall, while the atmosphere is cozy and the pizza is a highlight, the food quality has been inconsistent, so diners might want to consider this before returning.
