I heard this place has the best donuts in the tri-state area, so I drove over an hour to give them a try. Only for them to have nothing except turnovers. Huge waste of time, huge waste of money, and for that I would not recommend to anyone who considers traveling for a donut. Stick to Festival and Kwik Trip because you’ll be disappointed when you get there and they don’t have anything. It’s unfortunate that Bloedow’s doesn’t have a better way to inform their customers when they are out of donuts for the day.

The hours mean nothing. I drove an hour to get some (highly recommended) donuts. When I arrived they had only a couple trays of turnovers out. This was around 11:45am and NO DONUTS?!? Why are you open until 2pm if you’re not going to have enough product to last that long???
I’d recommend sticking with festival or Kwik trip bakery, at least then you’ll know they’ll have enough!

I had super high expectations for this place. I tried their new mint cream bismark and I have mixed reviews. The mint filling flavor? Amazing. 10/10. However, there was barely any in it. Then the donut itself was burnt and tasted like frying shortening. Left a super bad aftertaste and I didn’t even finish it. Will have to try again another time.

I was in to purchase 5 dozens donuts for my partner's work and was not greeted friendly by the female worker. I felt more welcomed by the male worker who checked me out. She was very cold as I tried to explain what I need and seems to be more annoyed by my presence. I haven't be here in over two years and was sadly disappointed by her service. I am glad I don't come often as I will be sure not to stop again for a while. Our family was so looking forward to the experience and it was disappointing to feel this. Hope to come back someday to a experience and better customer service.

Soooooo good! Have heard tell about Bloedow (blay-dohz) for years and finally had a chance to visit. There’s a learning curve—a line and then your person collects your items for checkout.
They know how to box or bag and at the same time there’s a slight hint of getting an extra item for good measure. Locals walk out the door with a donut (or cookie or scone) “on the paper”.
Known for the maple longjohn, the cake donuts and cookies and raspberry filled are amazing. Won’t even mention my favorite item here as stuff sells out. Gotta protect the goods.

The baked goods are FANTASTIC!! The afternoon staff (I have never been there in the morning) especially on the weekends is TERRIBLE, they act like they just don’t care—very much a take it or leave it attitude!! They don’t even smile to make a customer feel welcomed!! Very Disappointing!!

Made my 1st visit 4 yrs ago. As a self pro claimed foodie I love visiting small bakeries and restaurants. I agree with others the long line is well worth the wait. Small bakeries seem to be a thing of the past along with good customer service. I've had bread, buns, cookies and donuts ...all delicious along with great customer service. I drive 2 hrs to visit this little bakery. Keep up the great work and delicious products!!
