I am visiting Winona, MN for two weeks and stopped in with a friend for Wednesday night lasagna and live music. Easy parking, very friendly staff, and great food and drinks.
Though, my favorite part of the entire evening was when Dante started playing the piano. Wow—genuinely took my breath away as soon as he started playing the first few notes. I unfortunately didn’t have any cash on me, so I had to run and take some cash out to leave in his tip jar. I just couldn’t not tip such a talented musician.
I’m confident that my biggest regret while visiting Winona will always be that I didn’t bring cash with me beforehand because I would’ve loved to listen to him play the piano more.

Everything was great about our meal at Sapori. Except maybe one thing. We started in the restaurant, but their menu there was limited. One of our group had been to cafe side and wanted something from their menu. We asked about it and they said they couldn't serve food from the cafe in the restaurant and we couldn't even get it ourselves and bring it in. That's dumb. So we decided to move over to the cafe, which had less pleasant seating but a much better variety of dishes. The carbonara was very good.
