First visit today for the lunch buffet. Not impressed at all. The pizza was just OK with a very limited selection. The garlic bread was hard as a rock, the chicken, very dried out and probably a couple days old. For $17 a person with a soda, I'm not going

I visited Winona to go to an indoor skateboard park but it was closed and I was hungry. I ran across Sammy‘s Pizza and restaurant. I felt at home the moment I walked in. I ordered the lunch buffet. I was given a drink, and told to return to the counter, if I would like a refill. I sat down and went to the buffet and I was there for pizza, but they had a little bit of everything, a salad, some chili and even dessert. I had a couple slices of pizza. I had roasted chicken I had a bowl of chili and I had their apple and blueberry pizza dessert concoction. Pleased with everything. I read a note that they had in each table that they have 1/3 the staff they’ve had since Covid. It made me even respect them more because they’re Mom and Pop small business trying to make his meet. I think they have done an awesome job with the way they have emanated the place. I think it’s OK not to have servers and for us to serve ourselves. I will be returning to this place, and I will tell others to come here too. I drive from La Crosse Wisconsin. I would drive here just to eat. I would give them 10 stars if I could. The quality of food and ingredients was much better than I’ve ever anticipated. I want to thank you for your service, and I left with a smile. I could not hardly fit another bite in my mouth. Because I was so stuffed I could not leave without having another bite. I haven’t had to go get another refill to wash down everything I had eaten, and to take another look at where I was and remember. This place and environment made me feel like I was at home. This is not a normal feeling for me lately because I have actually been homeless the last three years. I would proudly spend my money here again in the future I hope to be able to return again soon. Until then keep up the great work and I hope you survive these crazy times we live in.Vegetarian options: They had gluten-free and all the vegetables you could want so I don’t know how you can go wrongParking: It is in downtown Winona. I parked in the street with no problem.Kid-friendliness: I have a 14-year-old daughter. I would bring her anytime next time she visits Lacrosse from Texas. My husband and I Walked in at 7:45. They close at 9:00pm. The cook mumbles "are you serious?!" Turned around and walked out. Would have liked to eat there but didn't feel like having the cook most likely spit in our food. The pizza is really good but I guess when they say they close at 9:00 pm, it really means 7:00 pm?

I It's always been good pizza. I haven't been there for along time. But I do remember that when we were in Winona that's where we always went. We LOVED there pizza it was the best in town. The service was very good the people working were always smiling and friendly. The entrance and dining area was clean and was pleasant.

A GREAT place for locals and visitors!! The Monday night buffet was really good, and there was a great assortment of pizzas, and the chili was delicious!! Jeanie is the highlight, she is a TRUE DELIGHT!! Jeanie makes everyone feel like family with her caring and loving way she takes care of you!! If you love a family filled environment and good food, Sammy's Pizza is where you need to eat!!
