Juicy Lucy was gross. Counter ordering, menu is difficult to read, and it's 10 ft from the door. I strongly suggest avoiding this place.

This is a really nice restaurant, located right on the Mississippi River. The views are amazing. It's the only restaurant still in operation on the river in Winona. The handcrafted cocktails are delicious, the cheese curds are the best. They are cooked in an amazing tasting garlic oil.

Poor quality food (directly from freezer), prices did not align with food quality, 3 or 4 orders were brought to our table with lukewarm food, and dessert (key lime pie) was still frozen and had crystallized from being kept too long in the deep freezer or not properly packed and sealed prior to re-freezing it. Won't be back.

Very sad to see how far the Boat House has fallen. Margarita was disgusting. Tasted like Mt. Dew. The Moscow Mule was served in a tumbler glass with no garnish. Tasted like swamp water. Very off. Coleslaw tasted old with no flavor but had a bad sour taste and this is mayo based not vinegar. We received our food before our drinks. There were 3 other tables. No large groups waiting for drinks. The fries with the fish and chips were over cooked and all the small little pieces from the basket. The sauce trio for your fries tasted good but the cute serving dish was gone. Now served in individual plastic to go containers. Do not like the idea of being asked to tip before your experience even starts but I get it. I would not have tipped for this sad meal. I miss the old Pan-Asian style, fresh ingredient Boat House. Another sad restaurant story in Winona.

We walked out. We ordered drinks at the front desk and after over 10 minutes at our table and the drinks hadn't arrived we left. They choose not to have waitresses take orders from the tables. Customers must order at the front door. We ordered drinks first with every intention of having dinner. We were hungry. We're out of towners. Drinks never arrived so we left and went to another Yelp suggestion instead. 929 beer house. Boat house has a great decent inside ambiance but this system of the wait staff only delivering food and drinks doesn't work. It must kill the wait staff's chance to get food tips even if they would have moved along faster. Sorry to take them to task but if I was part of the wait staff I'd look for another job.

Very sad to see how far the Boat House has fallen. Margarita was disgusting. Tastes like it was made with soda by a child. Moscow mule was served in a tumbler with no garnish. Tasted like swamp water. Very off. Coleslaw tasted old with no flavor but sour. Yes, the coleslaw was Mayo based. We received our food before our drinks. The fish and chips were good but I believe the batter recipe has changed as it is not the golden yellow as many times before. The sauce trio was good. Thumbs up for that. Food served on cold plates.

Awesome staff, very friendly. And will engage you in conversation. Prompt service. And now they have a fire pit on the patio. Nice and warm. And they have warm

This was our first time at the Boat House and it won’t be the last! Employees were welcoming and engaging, and the menu choices were extensive. We had the fish tacos and portobello burger-the food came out quickly and was amazing. Nice portion sizes and well seasoned. We enjoyed watching the staff being out other orders so we could see different menu items and the drinks from the cocktail menu looked delicious. After eating we talked for hours and without rushing us out, staff checked if we needed anything else, offered to refill drinks, and even stopped at the table to chat! Such wonderful customer service! A definite must try if in Winona-we didn’t know what we were missing and so glad we went! Thank you for the top notch food and customer service! A beautiful setting looking out over the river!

Beautiful scenery and well made food. We went when it was snowing and it was so magical to sit and watch the snow hit the water. Food was delicious and the workers were very kind!

I used to like going here. The food is good but the service is lacking. When I go out to eat at a sit down restaurant I like to have a waiter/waitress. When you get there, you order up front and then have to pay right away. How do I tip based on service I have not yet been provided? I have asked to pay after, which they let me do. After our food comes out no one comes to check if all is well or if you need additional drinks. Also, upon choosing our table, the table was dirty and sticky. It’s hard to tell in the evening as the lights are so dark. The dining room was also very cold.Sorry to say, I will not be visiting this place again until they have a full staff.

Food was decent, so don't get me wrong. But there was reportedly a system issue which caused everything to be brought out extremely slowly. And even then... It wasn't all that warm for having been just prepared.Props to the staff trying to make it right.Perhaps another visit will raise the stars.

Went for dinner and took home a slice of Key lime pie. When l had it for lunch the next day it was nothing more than a crust with a “glomp” of lime-flavored whipped cream. When l called to complain the person in charge said she’d look into it. For the price of the pie ($6 or$8) l was expecting more, an apology and a replacement. None coming.
