Akita sushi and hibachi Reviews
Definitely recommend this place in Woodberry it’s a little dark in there but it seems nice their service is a little slow but the food is good!
Terrible service this evening and there was no manager or lead around to address any issues. We did all you can eat and ended up asking just to pay for what we ate since half our food never came and we didn’t want to stick around another 30 mins for food that may never come. Typically they provided ginger and wasabi- not this evening. And the Saki came so late- they forgot this the last time we were there. We will not be going back.
Tonight I came with a large group of friends for my birthday. Server dumped hot soup on my lap. I now have burns on my leg with a blister. There was no compensation for this. I understand accidents happen, but not when burns are involved.

Akita Sushi and Hibachi is a local favorite, offering delicious food and wonderful service. The restaurant has some accessibility challenges, with elevated booths and limited maneuvering room for wheelchairs. Despite the dated atmosphere, the food quality and reasonable pricing make it a popular choice, particularly for special occasions.
The all-you-can-eat option is $42 with tip, which some customers find quite pricey. However, the food is amazing, and the service is excellent, with food coming out quickly. The teriyaki beef and fried rice options are especially tasty, and the restaurant boasts the hard-to-find Sapporo on tap.
Customers praise the great food and atmosphere, with one stating it's the best in the metro area. The spicy tuna hand rolls, tempura shrimp, and specialty rolls are standouts, along with the sushi and sashimi. The Gyoza and teppanyaki dishes may be less impressive.
The Sapporo on tap is a highlight, but the price has increased by 50%. The restaurant also no longer serves mixed drinks and fruity cocktails, which some customers find disappointing. The lunch menu is more limited than the dinner menu, but the prices are around $10 less.
Overall, Akita Sushi and Hibachi is a wonderful place to enjoy fresh and delicious AYCE sushi in the Twin Cities, despite some minor drawbacks.
