Did a catering order for our family fishing trip and the food was AMAZING! Jorge the head Chef and Eric the GM were amazing help with helping me order the food! Everyone got plenty to eat and we are definitely doing it again next year! 1000% recommend doing catering through this place! Super easy and super good!

I am from the south and I had the pimento Mac and cheese and brisket. It was delicious! Two thumbs up! Atmosphere, food, and service was incredible! Definitely will be back when up for work again!

Really mediocre experience. The host didn’t say anything when I walked in, but our server was pleasant. The food was the biggest issue. I got the classic breakfast that had two paper thin bacon pieces, potatoes felt like they had been under a heat lamp for a while, and the biscuit was disappointing, dry and chewy. A southern restaurant has to have a solid biscuit! Parking was easy but I don’t plan on returning.

We went on father’s day and had the unfortunate experience of having (his name) as our server. His face expressionless and his attention clearly not on his job. We were given our appetizers with our meal and were not given utensils to eat with. We then asked if we could have silverware and the young man said yes. He walked inside and never emerged again. I went and asked one of the hostesses inside and only then could we eat. We had to ask for our waters to be filled after they sat empty for 15 minutes. The list goes on but I will spare the establishment my words. Food was alright.
Love this place
Good food service slow for some fast for others ours was slow.
We visited for our first time around noon on a busy Saturday. The staff were a bit overwhelmed with large groups. They had a brunch menu until 2pm which had breakfast and a few lunch items. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes which were spicy, but delicious, and we would order again. The Boss Hog Grilled Cheese sandwich was piled high with meat, coleslaw and cheese (not melted). It was tasty, but messy to eat. The fries were not great - hard, but no big deal. Or server brought us out new fries. We also tried the corn cakes - they came with bacon and maple syrup. Nothing special about them, they seemed dry, but bacon was thick-cut and good. Overall, everything was underwhelming for our first visit. We did have a very good server. We would like to try a meal at dinner service, as I think the overall vibe and the menu selection would be better for us. On another note, with all the kid groups, it was so noisy it was hard to speak to one another inside. I would recommend sitting outside on the beautiful patios instead.
The bartender Ben was very attentive and made us laugh plenty. We appreciate being so well taken care of.

Very disappointing experience. The restaurant was almost empty, yet Amy, the bartender, ignored us for a long time before even acknowledging us. We waited way too long for service, and she never once offered us water or checked on us.
What bothered me the most was her attitude. She came across as rude and uninterested, like we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. There was absolutely no reason for such poor service when there was hardly anyone in the restaurant.
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating enough to mention. Good customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, it was completely missing during our visit.

My first time to Southern Social. I met my kids for an early Fathers day dinner. I got the BBQ platter. It came with 2 pieces of brisket. One was tender the other very tough. The slab of ribs had a very hot, spicy dry rub on them. Not my cup of tea, I like mild, but they were very tender. The pulled pork was tender and moist. All in all, not much smoke flavor through out. I smoke my own meat and get a better smoke flavor.
Now we had a party of 11 and I'm all for throwing on a 20% tip for the wait staff, when it's earned. Our waiter took our orders and when the food was brought out, he asked if we needed anything else. Last time I seen him for a while. Never came to see how the food was. My water glass was empty half way through my meal. Finally got a refill after I was done eating.
Would I return? Not sure at his point.

Great service waitress but rude welcome at the e trance by a young lady. Food was very good. Thank you.
I ordered the half rack of ribs and the bones were crumbling and disintegrating. It was pretty awful.

We are currently sitting in the restaurant. We have been waiting over an hour for our food. The server has apologized, yet there is no food. Horrible experience and we will not be back.

My friend and I went to this establishment on a Wednesday evening for dinner. We were able to find seating outside which was great because it was gorgeous out. We're both enjoyed our meals and had great service. Our server was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed. I like the decor of the inside and the outside of this restaurant. Parking was easy as theirs parking on all three sides of the restaurant. I will definitely come back to try more dishes.
