“What an awesome dining experience we had tonight! It was our first time visiting and we didn't realize we needed reservations. Instead, my hubby and I got to sit at the bar and met the owner Grace, who was so incredibly sweet. The food and service was top notch and exactly what we needed after a really tough week. Thank you Grace for taking such great care of us. We've found our new favorite place to eat!”

“I noticed some inaccuracies in the Dec 2024 M reeves review I'd like to point out. Tony's beer is cold & it doesn't cost $7 The only hot food available for purchase is pizza however the owner & her daughter (Pat & Diane) provide FREE food for numerous celebrations throughout the year. They also sell chips. Tony's has a lot of regular customers. I've been going there once or twice a month for years & if there's a secret handshake that's a well kept secret! Tony's is & has been a family owned bar a long time. Their prices are on the low end of the spectrum & if you get in a fight you're banned. Usually for life. Newcomers are always welcome, attitudes are not.”

“The chicken here is unmatched with their Cajun seasoning, they unfortunately forgot the biscuit in my meal as well as charged me extra for extra sauce and didn’t add it. It is what it is I just have to check in the future. I advise everyone else do the same.”

We’ve been buying our birthday cakes here since our first’s first and she will be eight in August. Cake House will always be our bakery!!!”

“oh gordon’s what’s not to love? i’ve been going here since i was a kid with my dad and it’s always been the same,the best burger i’ve ever had, and the cheese fries mann! the hard working people that run that show do a amazing job i highly recommend stopping in to have a single cheeseburger and some cheese fries it’s my favorite thanks to the awesome cooks! i swear they make mine special or something cuz its always so good”

“My daughter and I visited The Braided Bakery today for the first time and it was AMAZING!! First of all the shop is adorable!!! The people were super friendly and I’m now the proud owner of a pretzel bites addiction!!! They are to DIE FOR! I was in love with Auntie Anne’s, UNTIL today when I tried theirs!!! They are so soft and pillowy and NOT greasy like auntie Anne’s! So much better!!! We also got a chocolate chip and a gooey butter cookie that were also the best cookies ever!!! They are really thick and just have the best taste and texture!! We will definitely be back for more!!!! Thank you so much!”

“Although the food does taste good.I am disappointed that it shows corn bread on google but all they give you is garlic bread. The one thing I want when I go to a barbecue place is cornbread.”

“Ordered a veggie pizza and a salad. 4-cheese, mushroom, onion and dark olives. Not black olives, but dark Greek type olives. Pizza was Great. Only one size but enough for 2 people. The salads are made ahead of time, found in a care, but taste very fresh. Only an oil dressing is offered, but it was wonderful. We dipped the crust of the pizza in the extra oil dressing, yummy. Had the lemonade - delicious!”

“I've been going here since I was a little kid and their food is still unmatched. Old timey, diner-style restaurant with friendly service, to-die-for ice cream, and plenty of lovely memories. Also has great pricing and a claw machine I've won two stuffed animals from, which is in my opinion a good record. Highly reccommend mozzarella sticks, fries, and waffle cone sundae (mint chip is superior).”

In her words, “ this was so fun mom & I have coffee just like you.I have never been here before so the welcoming people and atmosphere made you want to stay. I don’t know who the young lady was at the front register with blonde hair but thank you for the recommendation for the chocolate lava iced coffee. I loved it. Thank you all for your smiles.”

“Like many of us do, we eat at a lot of different Mexican restaurants, but we feel this one by far exceeds them all. Their food is delicious and always fresh. We feel that the margaritas are the best in Jefferson County. The people who own it are friendly and our service is always fantastic. What we like about the service is if you want to hurry up and eat and leave, they will provide that for you. But if you like to sit around like we do with our friends and have pictures of margaritas and not be rushed they will allow that also. We absolutely love we are never rushed. Hands-down, it is our favorite Mexican restaurant in all of Jefferson County and in the top three in the entire St. Louis /Jefferson County area. We are huge fans of the shrimp fajitas.”

“I absolutely love Star Cafe. It’s one of the very few places I can take the kids, feel safe, and not feel judged if my little one is having a bad day. My favorite is when I’m indecisive and I tell the girls to just surprise me. They never fail. Such a great family owned small business! Everyone needs to try them out!”
