I ordered breakfast this morning using DoorDash. I was really excited to try out this hometown restaurant as I love breakfast foods and I love supporting small businesses. I looked at reviews and they all seemed very positive. Much to my dismay when I received my order, it was 2 Styrofoam containers wrapped and tied up in a white trash bag. There were no napkins or utensils. The sausage patties were really dry and the hashbrowns were soaked in either a ton of butter or grease. They were "mushy" and were not good. The biscuits and gravy were nothing to write home about either as there was no flavor other than the dry sausage. Maybe this was just an off day or it was a new employee working. Either way, for the price I paid for 1 meal.. $20+, I will not be eating here again. I will stick with Aurora Family Restaurant as I'm never disappointed there.

I have eaten here for breakfast twice. The owner is very nice and the food was great. I love food with flavor. I look forward to trying some of her other meals later in the day.

Wife and I were passing through town after camping. We were very excited for a highly rated local diner. Unfortunately, we were incredibly disappointed.
When we arrived a bit after 11 am, there were only two other people in the small restaurant waiting for togo orders. "Great," we thought, "we'll dine in and be back on the road in no time." We order two breakfast plates that come with eggs, hashbrowns, and biscuits and gravy.
After about 20 minutes waiting for our food, the restaurant suddenly filled up. At least we got our order in before the rush.
After 30 minutes, the only person we saw working there told us they were put if hasbrowns. We were fine with the substitute, we just wanted pur food at this point.
After 55 minutes, we finally received some potatoes and eggs. Both were undercooked and flavorless. (We ordered sunny side up but the egg whites were almost completely runny). No salt or pepper on the table.
Our biscuits and gravy came maybe 5-10 minutes later. Mine was fine, but my wife's was cold.
To top all this off, they didn't even have a public bathroom, so we had to use hand sanitizer instead of washing our hands.
If we hadn't prepaid, we would have left after the first 30 minutes. An hour of our life wasted.
I almost never leave reviews. Live and let live. I've worked in food service for 20 years, running two different restaurants for almost 10 years. You can't run a business by putting people through an hour wait without warning, then serving undercooked food, flavorless food. I added a star because they were friendly and local, and I hope they can figure it out.

This is a small downtown diner run by the owner cook. The food is good and the owner has a real passion for her restaurant. It is her dream come reality. It is cozy a relaxing atmosphere. The french toast is better than most places. The blueberry coffee creamer she offers is amazing. We were not disappointed.

As someone with Alpha Gal Syndrome (anaphylactic mammal allergy from a tick bite), it is incredibly hard to find places to eat. I never expect to be accommodated and was so impressed by the kindness and consideration I received at The Dining Duo. The cook was happy to come out and talk to me, the food was prepared safely and deliciously! Getting to go out, enjoy breakfast, and feel completely safe while doing so is a rare treat. Very grateful for local places who love their communities ?
