El Toluco Taqueria & Grocery

I am so pleased that my husband and I tried this little taco shop on a whim. The food was outstanding. He had 3 tacos, 1 was the tongue and it was so tender, 1 was with pineapple and it had an amazing flavor, 1 steak that was good as well. I had the pork torta and it would be enough to feed 4 people. We also tried their guacamole and fresh it was with fresh homemade chips to go with it. Definitely will be back!!!

A little hard to find, but worth the effort.
Stopped in for lunch. Excellent street tacos in an authentic Mexican Cafe connected to a well stocked small Mexican grocery.

Best tacos in town? It's up there.

Great tacos. It’s a very casual restaurant built into a Mexican grocery store. The spices are amazing. Very flavorful, but not too hot. The green sauce on the table was phenomenal. Would definitely recommend this place. Very authentic. Bad thing for us is I heard that they are closing this summer because the owner wants to spend more time with her family.

Finally! A real tamale. Delicious!

Best tacos in St Louis!! The service was wonderful, food was hot, fast, and perfect. The atmosphere isn't fancy. I will absolutely go back for take out, or a quick lunch, but it's not a date night destination. The popsicles are also amazing.

BY FAR THE BEST TACOS IN STL! I’ve tried them all, and El Toluco is my favorite! The carnitas quesadilla is amazing, and I love the chicken, shrimp, carnitas and Al
Pastor tacos. Fresh, homemade and amazing, sweet owners.

Such a great spot for some wonderful Mexican food! Tacos were amazing and the tortas looked great, though we didn’t get one this time. Also super cool that there’s a small grocery store attached so you can check out some delicious Mexican goodies before you leave.

The best al pastor tacos in St. Louis! Love the authenticity of this place. On the weekends they serve menudo, a little too spicy for me but still very good. Would recommend!

This is a great place for tacos and tortas. Sometimes on Fridays they have an enchilada special which is so good. I love their refried beans the most. They have green and red (orange-ish) salsa in squeeze bottles. The people here are kind and it's always friendly. It's not fancy, but it always hits the spot and I'm never disappointed. It's attached to a small grocery and on the side of the plaza, so a bit of diligence to find it.
