I think we came at the wrong time, probably since its the end of summer harvest and not quite fall harvest yet. The employees were very nice and there were still a few things left in store.
They have a nice candy counter with chocolates and fudge right as you walk in and if you walk around the corner, there is the ice cream shop. The ice cream was amazing!!
Ice cream was great!
Very little produce like we had hoped. This place is mostly an ice cream stand. It's a lil run down and could use some TLC!
Stopped by to buy some fresh yellow squash. Beggs is close to my home and they have quality fresh vegetables in the summertime. They also carry homemade cookies, truffles and they are great. The ice cream shop has many flavors or homemade ice cream. It’s delicious and they make milk shakes, sundaes, the waffle cones are homemade. Great local place and very friendly staff. Prices are affordable.
I always stop by here once in awhile because the people are great that work there. The vegetables are nice and fresh and the pecans. There are awesome and all the candy they have is delicious. But the most wonderful thing that I go there for is the homemade ice cream. It is so delicious and it's not heavy like regular ice cream. It is homemade and it is so delicious. I highly recommend it and it's not too expensive either!
I just ate the most delicious homemade strawberry ice-cream and purchased 2 Misssouri grown sugar baby watermelons and some Paula Deans fish fry. Wonderful shop!!!
We drove about 30 minutes to attend the Strawberry Festival, hoping for a fun family outing. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. When we arrived, we were told there was a $5 entry fee per person, something that was not mentioned on the event flyer or Facebook page. We had to leave to get cash and return, only to find there was actually very little for the kids to do once inside.
To make matters worse, every kids activity, including the bounce houses, required an additional fee. It felt more like a money grab than a family friendly event. We ended up leaving almost immediately and sadly won’t be returning for any future events.
Edit in response to owner: Calling your customers “ignorant” and making smart remarks is a great way to ensure they never return. This had nothing to do with not being able to afford the cost, it was about the lack of transparency on the event page and the underwhelming size of the event itself.
It was not worth the trip in my honest opinion. Had the details been advertised, expectations could have been managed appropriately.
Strawberries are fabulous this year. Beautiful berries and extra sweet !! Yum!!

We got a watermelon from them. It wasn't the best one, but it was still good. We tried all the ways to check for ripe. Yellow bottom, dead stem.. thumping. It was pink, not red. It didn't have as much flavor as I had hoped, but it wasn't bad.
