Not sure what happened to this place, maybe it’s under new ownership? The experience was terrible from start to finish. The staff had very little knowledge about gluten free food, which is concerning for anyone with dietary restrictions. I asked specifically whether the California rolls were gluten free because many imitation crab products contain gluten. The server told me they were gluten free because “there’s no sauce on them,” which completely missed the point. I explained that imitation crab itself can contain gluten, and she still assured me it was safe. When my rainbow roll arrived, it had crab stick in it, something I’ve personally never found in a gluten free version. When I questioned it, the server asked if I’d ever eaten sushi before and then said, “Well, if you’ve had that roll other places then it’s the same here.” That response was rude and dismissive. I ended up ordering something else just to be safe. Unfortunately, the sushi itself was poorly made and fell apart every time we tried to pick it up. Between the lack of food knowledge, poor service, and low-quality food, we won’t be back. Drive a little further and go to Mint Sushi.

Our regular sushi stop without having to go to KC, Owner said he has fresh fish delivered daily. Good variety of raw, fried and cooked rolls. Also has non sushi food but i have not tried it. Welcoming staff and great service.

The service was a little slow, but we did go in on a Friday evening, so I do slightly understand. The food is PHENOMENAL!! We had combos for our entree and everything was perfect. We also had the Crispy Philadelphia Roll; just let it sit for a few because it comes out very hot and fresh. The star of the meal was the appetizer; the ABSOLUTE BEST crab rangoon I've ever had. My fiance and I went for a date night, and the atmosphere was great. Excellent mood lighting, beautiful decor, however, in my opinion the seating is both limited and cramped, the only issue I have with the atmosphere. We will be going back, repeatedly, but I think we'll avoid Friday evenings in the future.

Tried this place for the first time. I got the Tiger Role and the Snow Roll with crab which was the current special. I thought everything tasted great and the service was fast and personable.
They have a lot of cooked roles (which I think is a preference here in the mid-west) so if you have a family member or friend curious about trying sushi, but they aren’t interested in a lot of raw fish this could be a great way to introduce them to the concept.
Definitely recommend.

Tokyo Grill has been my wife and my favorite sushi spot for well over a year now. The sushi is always fresh and so, so delicious! My favorite is the Thunder, Tiger and Crazy Rolls. If you need a suggestion just ask Leo! He always is friendly and attentive.

Only 3 stars. While the food was good, service was poor. We ordered at open, people came in 25 min after open and were served food while I was still waiting. I inquired about my order to the older hostess, and discovered that my order had just been sitting there. For context, only 2 parties in the restaurant and she was chatting with my order directly in front of her.
