I stopped sort of by accident and feel compelled to share how unusually good the food was. Tragic that there is no alcohol, but I was blown away by the flavors. I would drive here from Columbia for the flavors! It was excellent. Clearly a talented chef. The seasoning, green salsa, all of it was truly unexpected in an unpretentious little storefront.

We had lunch at Genesis today, I had the #4 lunch special, two chicken enchiladas with green sauce, rice and beans, with a Mexican Coca Cola, it was great, good service, clean restaurant, very nice!!!!!!

The Quesabirria tacos are SO good. Love the tomatillo salsa too. If you like TexMex it won’t be your place…if you lean authentic, you will love it.
The food and service were wonderful. We sat on the patio which was quite nice. This restaurant is one year old and they are working hard to earn a following.

Genesis Mexican has been by far the best food we’ve had since we have been on our cycle trip starting in Kansas City. The location is convenient and easy to get to from the Katy trail and there is plenty of seating. The menu has all the dishes you would expect and also an impressive vegetarian menu! Everything we tasted was exceptional, the chips and salsa verde were super fresh and flavorful, as were the two house made hot sauces we got with our meal. I had a mushroom huarache which was delightful and had plentiful and well seasoned mushrooms and beans. It also had well proportioned toppings compared to the masa base. My husband had a carne asada taco and mushroom quesadilla. The steak on the taco was delicious and had a delightful char grilled flavor. The quesadillas was a generous portion and was filled with meaty mushrooms. If you can only eat one place in the Boonville area, I highly recommend Genesis Mexican Cuisine to be that place.
