“Been here several times. A hidden gem in Boonville. A converted home serving up some excellent dishes! Lots of history here and worth looking over the many pictures and articles posted on the walls. Not a big place, so suggest reservations. Service is fast and friendly. Menu selection is broad, food is well prepared and delicious. You won't be disappointed!”

“I drive 90 miles just for Robert's gumbo, jalapeno cornbread, and deep fried jalapeños. Don't let the unassuming spot fool you. Never been disappointed and love talking to him. He definitely has a passion for his food.”

“I am fortunate to be able dine at Northwood Diner on numerous occasions, and every time the food has been fresh, hot and delicious. Whether it’s the mouthwatering Broasted Chicken, Pork Tenderloin, or Pulled Pork options, (or the Cheese Burger) you can not go wrong… just to mention that on Tuesdays there’s a Smoked Ribs special! Yummy!So if you are on I 70 get off at exit 106. The Diner is across the street from the Eagle / Cenex gas station on Hwy 87 south.”

“Diner like feel but food is worth the price. Definitely family friendly and I would not let that be a deterant. We go for breakfast and I get the French toast. I just appreciate how it feels like a whole meal as it comes with eggs and a breakfast meat.”

“husband had the lasagne. He said it was good. He got the salad bar with it. All good. I got the gyro plate. It was wonderful. Have tried 3 other places in mid-Missouri and think this is the best gryo out there. Meat & sauce were well seasoned & cooked just right. good fresh pita. However was surprised it only came with 1 pita bread. Was disappointed no grape leaves appeared on the menu. I chose the Greek salad for a side. It was very good. Place really is not handicap accessible. Sign on door offers portable ramp if requested, but the bathrooms are not really accessible and do not have any grab bars.Wheelchair accessibility: they will provide a ramp to get in the place upon request, but bathrooms are really not accessible.”

“I wanted to publicly say this restaurant and staff deserve a HUGE astounding round of applause! My wife has a shellfish allergy and because of this the cook (whomever he/she may be) has stated to the drive-thru clerk that he didn't want to take the chance and accidentally hurting my wife and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate my wife and think about us rather than a sell. “Love the food here. However, in the last couple of months, the service has not been great. We do big orders for lunch at work often the last 2 times they were all wrong, we got no sauces that we asked for all the wrong sides, and my burger had no top bun? They did refund 1/2 our order.”

So, scored s fillip and some food as a final transaction. And, unlike the surly manager over at Love's the folks here are as professional as it gets in the truck stop game. Thank you.”

“Several places were closed and they were closing early due to the holiday weekend and staffing. The menu looked great! We wanted to try several items which I have no issue with since we don't mind leftovers. We got a full order of biscuits and gravy... it's a lot so be prepared. Really good with a good amount of sausage and great biscuits. The Farmer's Omelet had fresh ingredients and good. The Pecan Pancake was huge with chunks of Pecan. I really enjoyed it. The service was great. She kept our water and coffee cups full and had a great cadence checking in to see if we needed anything. Great experience.”

“not sure who it was that was my carhop but he just made my entire day and was definitely a good worker. he deserves a pay raise with just how he greets people and the vibes he gives off. sweetest person i’ve ever had as a carhop. not sure if that’s his name on the receipt or not!”
