The service was amazing, even coming in as late as we did! Very attentive, and the server made us feel like we were her only table, even though she had others to tend to. The food overall was amazing. Steak Fred and the mushroom ravioli were our entrees of choice. The only complaint I had was the ravioli was a little on the salty side for me. The cocktails were amazing as well!

The next time we are in the area, this would definitely be on our list to visit again!

The three of us had dinner here. Red flags starting immediately with empty water glass. She didn't like to check on our table. Nowhere to be seen. Our food arrives: both of our steaks are tough mashed potatoes overdone. I couldn't eat mine and sent it back. My wife ate hers and MIL had pork chop. Save your money, eat at Subway or Casey General Store.

We dined here for our anniversary dinner. The food was mostly amazing. We got the gorgonzola creme brulee. It was sooo good. Creamy, great flavor but surpringly ice cold in the middle, which wasn't my favorite .Stuffed portobello was also pretty good. Steaks were great, cooked perfect MR. Service was not so great. She disappeared for long periods of time, no drink refills the entire time we were there, we ordered 2 side salads with our meal but never got them, brought us 4 little bread rounds with the creme brulee which was not nearly enough for the amount of dip or the price. Overall, I would probably give it another chance because the food was pretty good but Barred Owl in Columbia's food is just as good with impeccable service and without the drive, so I would probably opt to go there instead. As someone who worked in the service industry a long time, I am probably way more forgiving than your average customer, so I would put servers through better training so you don't end up losing business!

We had reservations at WJ's tonight and when we arrived it was closed, not even a call! So we regrouped and went to The Fred. What wonderful meals, we started with the bacon wrapped poppers, I had the pork chop my wife had the half chicken absolutely couldn't have been better! We topped it off with the Creme Brule! Our server Nora was the best! Never go to WJ's just go to The Fred and have a special experience!

Love "The Fred" as we call it! We eat there a couple times a month and like to rotate through our favorites but also try to throw in something new too. Anytime they have fried pickles on the rotating seasonal menu, we are there!! The bartenders are truly wonderful, and we love the patio and people watching. Also make sure to take advantage of the half-priced burgers on Wednesdays, what a deal! FYI the bats have been re-homed...

Beware of bats if you sit outside - seriously! We sat outside under the ceiling fan on a warm June evening. The food and service were very good. Near the end of the meal, we noticed a flurry of small sawdust-like particles falling out of a hole in the ceiling near the fan. A few minutes later, a bat flew out of the hole and landed on the ground near my wife. It seemed stunned then it crawled to a brick wall and strarted climbing. Reminded me of scenes from "Dracula". Ugh. Although both of us are nature lovers, we left the table VERY QUICKLY. Luckily, I was able to grab my beer and plate and finish my dinner on the run. I told management about the bat and they seemed to know about it. They kind of laughed it off, although the waitress was mildly apologetic. So unless you're a chiropterologist, beware of bats swooping toward your salad when dining outside at the Hotel Frederick!

The bar service in the Brick Room is very slow and poor unless you are a local.

THE BEST dinner out we have had in well over a year. From service, to price, and flavor, everything was spot-on. I highly recommend trying this one!Just wish they offered larger steaks!
