Deb and I pulled off the road when the weather continued to worsen. Cars, pick-ups, and semis were sliding off the road in front of and all around us.We drove into Bowling Green MO and ended up in Forever Primitives & luncheonette, trying to decide what to do next.They provided us coffee and cookies along with immediate shelter from the growing storm. We decided to find lodging close by and wait for the storm to pass.We returned the next morning for an incredible breakfast....
Interesting little diner. It appears that it actually occupies three buildings. They have a small menu which isn't a bad thing. I tried the ham and cheese omelette with sourdough bread and hash browns. The omelette was small, possibly egg and a half maybe two with a little bit of ham and cheese. The sourdough toast was too toasted for my taste but also didn't taste much like sourdough. The hash browns were good for hash browns but I'm not a big hash brown fan. Overall,...
Lovely charm and quick service, with a nice selection of locally sourced wines, ect. Craig is very personable and Cindy is an excellent hostess. Food is a 10/10, amazing sandwiches and salads, and if you're ever lucky enough to catch one of their specials, I wouldn't miss it for the world.An overall fantastic place to stop for breakfast or lunch.
