We visited this play about 45 years ago and decided to come again to refresh my memory of the story.. My only issues were the older gentleman, I can't remember the name,Had an accent that was too thick for me to understand most of his words, And we sat in the first 4 rows... Also,the character named Ollie, was put on a bit overdone.. But the production was done well, the horses and others animals worked well..I enjoyed the show and would recommend it!
I read the novel when I was a teenager and fell in love with the story then. It set me on a quest to find my own Young Matt, and I did. After we got married, I was able to share the story with him and we were able to see the production together. Over the years, as a teacher, I had the opportunity to read this book aloud to my students and share the lessons of the Shepherd with them. Loved the super unique experience of the outdoor drama! The only thing I had complaints about was the overpriced merchendise.Otherwise, we had a great time learning about the history of the Ozarks
