My wife and I had dinner at Chan's during a trip to Cape Girardeau. First of all, the staff was great. The food was a different story. My egg rolls tasted like old grease and the duck sauce was watery. We had Kung Pow Chicken. It was bland to the point of being nearly tasteless. Not spicy at all. Some of the worst Chinese food we've ever had. I gave 2 stars because our waitress was great.

This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Cape. The food is good, though they tend to use more garnishing than the main ingredient.

This Restaurant has 🔥 hot steamy food so good I went there 4 times in one week!. Even in the lightning 🌩️ stormy weather I wanted Chinese food from here. And the cashier is always sweet and kind he helps me in the heavy 🌧️ rains and storms carrying food to my vehicle for me. Even when it's not raining he offers to Carry out for me, now that's good service! The people here are kind and very helpful so if you decide to check out this Chinese Restaurant don't hesitate!! you won't be disappointed 😞 at all the food is good to and for the belly!! We ordered the dinner for 2, only 34$ and its more like a dinner for 6! The portions are huge and we have lots of leftovers. The food was delicious and came out very fast, and the server helped put our leftovers away. Amazing restaurant with good service and good food

I have been eating at Chan’s since the 1990’s. It’s the oldest and the best Chinese restaurant in Cape Girardeau, and is the one that is a full service restaurant; all the others are buffet style restaurants (aka feed-trough style). Take-out service is prompt and great care is taken with packaging each order. The family that has owned the restaurant for many years retired a couple years ago; the new owners are doing well carrying on their predecessors business.

It was more fusion than traditional Chinese. My fried rice was more like Spanish rice. The food was good but not what I was expecting. I will go back to try more traditional dishes.

The appetizers were very good, the chicken fried rice had very little chicken, General TSO’s chicken was supposed to be spicy, but tasted more sweet than spicy.

The service was excellent. The waitresses came by many times, checking for refills and how we liked our food.

Sit down restaurant with great food and large servings. Ambiance is lovely and calm, and staff is very nice.

It is great food and the restaurant is clean and the meals are hot. A great dining experience.
