Had a surprise birthday dinner for my girlfriend. The service was great and they gave us a little table to ourselves away from everyone. The food wasnt as good as we hoped though. The fish and chips was over battered and the fish was a very thin filet. The lobster rangoons had very little filling and we didn't even finish them. Disappointing as we were really looking forward to them. My girlfriend said her Ruben was really good but the chips were dry and not very warm. The bread pudding with ice cream was decent though. The ice cream was better than the pudding. Not sure we will go back. It was worth a try I guess.

Potato soup was fire! One friend had the fish and chips and another had the Ruben and both loved them! Warm bread pudding with fresh whipped cream drizzled with caramel...which smelled amazing!...finished off a wonderful experience!

We stopped for a nightcap before heading to our hotel for the night. The food looked and smelled delicious, and our bartender was quick and friendly. Loved the atmosphere, and we added a dollar bill of our own, lol. We didn't spend a lot of time here, but that was only because it was getting late. We will stop in again when we are traveling through.

Nadine was our waitress. She did an excellent job! I have celiac disease and she was quick to answer any questions we had about their menu items. I had the gluten free bun on the bacon jam burger. 10/10!!!! My husband had the Irish sausage with mashed potatoes and gravy 9/10. Great food and service. Thanks Nadine!!!

Received excellent, friendly service from Drew, who also gave us great breakfast recommendations for the area. Loved the Reuben Stuffed Mushrooms! Specialty burgers were a delicious daily special. Cozy, neighborhood bar atmosphere. Will definitely be back when visiting CG.

Located in beautiful historic Cape Gerardeau. Fon atmosphere where signed one dollar bills covered the walls. Chandeliers, brick arched walls gave warmth and a feel of the old country.

We took a Saturday road trip and popped in here for an appetizer and cocktail. Our server recommended one of his own concoctions, Pineapple Jalapeño margarita, on special for July. Delicious! Fun vibe and great location, right on the Main Street.

Golly I hate to be the one who leaves an honest review but our first visit left much to be desired.
First we asked for a shandy and neither the server or bartender had ever heard of a shandy.
We ordered fish and chips and a Caesar salad with chicken. Neither dish had much flavor, but we will say it was not too salty.
The salad lacked any character or flavor and had minimal dressing. The croutons were quite stale and old.
The fish was two uniform pieces of cod with a thin coating of batter, and extremely greasy- which means it was likely fried in less than ideal temperature oil. The cchips were just meh. Tartar sauce was lackluster.
For the price, we were definitely underwhelmed.
Seating: The church pews lean to the back of seat which make eating a meal rather uncomfortable.
Ladies bathroom- if you need room to move a wheelchair- good luck. I get that it is a historic building but be prepared if you need to use the rest room.

But hey the Harp beer was cold and the server was attentive.
