was served rotten moldy lettuce in my spring roll and the rice paper was dry and hard, the lady was very kind and apologetic, the old balding man with glasses I'm assuming was her husband was extremely rude, said it comes out of the bag that way sometimes and other excuses. was absolutely disgusting and felt sick after eating one. highly recommend going to the other pho place downtown or literally anywhere else

Was served rotten moldy lettuce in my spring roll, and the rice paper was dry and hard, was absolutely disgusting, the lady was very nice and apologetic, ...the old balding man I'm assuming her husband was extremely rude, claimed it comes out of the bag like that sometimes and other excuses, absolutely disgusting they would not see that lettuce is rotten. I felt sick after . Would highly recommend going to other pho restaurant downtown or literally anything else.

If you know anything about pho, please skip this place. The people were very nice and everything about the establishment was clean and inviting. However, the portions were half the size as any pho place and very bland. They advertise many different fish in their sea food pho but all I received was 3 or 4 shrimp. The rest was vegetables and including broccoli which is not a Vietnamese vegetable. My daughter had the beef pho and she had the same experience. Half the size and very bland. The meat was tender but it wasn't the typical pho meat slices. The shrimp spring rolls were good but also small. All in all, if I had the chance of coming again, im afraid I would have to pass.

We ordered takeout and just moved here from the Dallas area and wanted to try a pho spot. Let's just say we were sooo disappointed.
We ordered two large chicken pho soups so my husband and I could have leftovers, along with a side of egg rolls. The egg rolls were fine. That's the only thing that gets the stars.

I had more bean sprouts than I did noodles. The noodles were extremely chewy and seemed as if they were not cooked all the way. Yes, I let them set in my broth but that didn't do much. The chicken was so so dry. How? It was sitting in broth... The flavor was okay but we barely got any food? Like, where were the noodles?? For that price and you get half a serving of noodles? So underwhelming. Would not recommend this. 😞

Ordered Pho with beef and shrimp. Extra charge for shrimp. No shrimp was in my bowl. Very miniscule about of beef. Just cabbage carrots and brown. Thai tea was very watery. Very disappointing.

I hadn't been here since I moved far away from Cape 3.5 years ago. My first time here i was greeted by Ann. She made sure I had the full experience as a first timer. I don't think I have ever felt as good entering a business as I had with her. That alone kept me coming back. Besides, the food was fantastic! Today, I wasn't greeted with kindness. There wasn't any warmth like there had been. I asked the man behind the counter if he was Ann's husband and how was she. He informed me that she passed 3 years ago! 😭 I expressed how sorry I was to hear of this, and that was the end of our conversation. I have raved about this place for years. Even being far away. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to carry on Ann's legacy of kindness. That is what made this business what it is. The food is still good, but the atmosphere is desperately lacking. I am thankful for the memories I have of Ann and the old Pho 8. If I decide to travel the 1.5 hrs again for the best Pho around, I truly hope my suggestion was applied. Keep her spirit alive.

Absolutely delicious but they seriously need to work on their prep. It took 20 minutes for coffee and over an hour for 2 sandwiches!!

This is my favorite restaurant in Cape! It’s healthy comfort food and the prices are good too. If you call ahead, take out is so fast. Or if you eat there, the atmosphere is amazing.

First time eating here. We loved it. The food was so great and so was our drink. They was so helpful helping with what we wanted to try. Make this place a must stop when you are wanting to try something new. Will be going back again.

Pho review: the broth tasted like beef ramen, the lack of noodles was not good, the beef was no good either.

The food is delicious, but be ready to wait. Took like an hour to get spring rolls, a bowl of pho, and a noodle bowl.

Edit: I had to edit my review since it was a long time since I made the first review. Though it does take a while to get your food, I love coming here when I’m in town and ordering the shrimp spring rolls. Because of this, I definitely I had to up my review.

Pho was good 👍

I had a sad dining experience, waiting an hour for mediocre chicken and rice, getting food poisoning, and watching others who arrived after me receive their food first, making it clearly inferior to Bistro Saffron.
