I hadn't been here since I moved far away from Cape 3.5 years ago. My first time here i was greeted by Ann. She made sure I had the full experience as a first timer. I don't think I have ever felt as good entering a business as I had with her. That alone kept me coming back. Besides, the food was fantastic! Today, I wasn't greeted with kindness. There wasn't any warmth like there had been. I asked the man behind the counter if he was Ann's husband and how was she. He informed me that she passed 3 years ago! 😭 I expressed how sorry I was to hear of this, and that was the end of our conversation. I have raved about this place for years. Even being far away. If I could suggest one thing, it would be to carry on Ann's legacy of kindness. That is what made this business what it is. The food is still good, but the atmosphere is desperately lacking. I am thankful for the memories I have of Ann and the old Pho 8. If I decide to travel the 1.5 hrs again for the best Pho around, I truly hope my suggestion was applied. Keep her spirit alive.

This is my favorite restaurant in Cape! It’s healthy comfort food and the prices are good too. If you call ahead, take out is so fast. Or if you eat there, the atmosphere is amazing.

Edit: I had to edit my review since it was a long time since I made the first review. Though it does take a while to get your food, I love coming here when I’m in town and ordering the shrimp spring rolls. Because of this, I definitely I had to up my review.

If you're looking for an amazing pho place, this is meant for you. I, as a man native to California where amazing food is around every block, whom moved here in 2019, and tried the simple order of a Beef Pho- my mind was blown, and Pho8 has quickly become a top 3 pick for date lunches between me and my lady. Portions are nice, food is absolutely flavorful, textures are of variety. You cannot go wrong with giving Pho8 a chance. If you're new to Vietnamese food, try the beef pho, add the greens, add some Sriracha, and go to town. You will not leave hungry, and you will enjoy yourself. Pho8 is not for everyone, but those who do enjoy and divulge in this culinary elegance, will find that Pho8 is most enjoyable, and worth the visit. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a seat, and most of the time you can walk in, order, and sit right down. 10/10, will come back every time, hungry for more!
I still need to try one of their main dishes, but their sides are very good! The fried tofu is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The pork dumplings are juicy and flavorful. The spring rolls tasted fresh and work well as a side. The sauces are very good too!

Good food; terrible service. I ordered a bowl of chicken pho and waited an hour for it to arrive at my table. It arrived (finally) as beef pho with no veggies. Ugh. They got it right, but the service was awful. This isn’t the first time this has happened, but the food’s really good so I’ll probably try again at some point.
