It took 20 minutes for my burger to arrive. Must have been cooking it most of that time, as it was very overcooked, dry

Port Cape Girardeau Restaurant and Lounge offers a historic and charming riverside dining experience in downtown Cape Girardeau. Known for its BBQ, burgers, and Southern comfort food, the restaurant also features a lounge with live music and a laid-back vibe. The building’s old-world character adds to its appeal, and many visitors enjoy the scenic views of the Mississippi River. Service is friendly, and the portions are generous. A solid pick for casual dining with local flavor.

Very enjoyable and very relaxing.
I started going to Port Cape years ago, when a gal I was dating introduced me to it. Loved the place ever since.

Trust me, you will enjoy Port Cape.

We hosted my son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Port Cape. The food was wonderful and the staff was very kind and helpful. The kettle beef and BBQ chicken was top notch. There was plenty of food and everyone left with a smile after having such a good meal. Olivia was very easy to work with. Thank you!

I've went twice in the last month, both times was a disappointment. I will not ever set foot in there again. The barbeque tasted old and microwaved, the fries were old and burnt, could go on but it dont matter, I wont go back. Like many other places they've gone down hill.

I had baby back. Ribs could have been good, but basically got the charred ends and the nubs. The sausage was OK. Ay, The Onion rings were no nothing special. The oak room is overcooked and brown.

This was after waiting for 45 minutes because there was a table of 12 ahead of us, but there were only other 2 tables in the restaurant that had anybody there.

Our waitress was MIA most of the time found out she was in the other part of the restaurant having been concerned with other personal things going on.

Maybe we.
Just had a bad night, but really? I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.

One of the few good places to eat here in Cape. Not everything has been a hit but most we’ve tried have. Unfortunately we don’t go anymore due to the AWFUL service. Every time they take at least 10 minutes to greet us despite being right in front of other employees which even if we aren’t their assigned table you’d think they’d ask if we’ve been helped or let someone know, but no! And once we are helped they rarely come back to our table to check if we need anything so If we’re missing anything we have no one to ask!

Update: haven’t been back to dine in due to the numerous consecutive bad experiences with the service. However, I have gone to their ice cream window a few times and same thing. The employees see you standing RIGHT at the SEE THROUGH WINDOW and still pretend they can’t see you. One waiter did greet us after 5 mins of standing there only to say “it’s gonna be a minute” and then he never came back :) And two waitresses who could clearly see us just decided to ignore us despite them being open for 40 more minutes. Just don’t go here.

Great historic building right by the Mississippi River. Great vibe for a group outing. I had the BBQ combo with ribs and chicken. It was very good as were the sides. Everyone else complimented their meals and indicated that we'll come back soon.
