During a recent visit to Red Lobster in Cape Girardeau, Illinois, with a party of three, we overall had a delightful experience that merits a solid four stars. The highlight of our dining was undoubtedly the Surf and Turf option. The lobster tail was cooked to perfection—succulent and flavorful, pairing wonderfully with the New York Ribeye steak. The steak itself was expertly prepared at a medium doneness, offering a tender and juicy bite that truly satisfied our carnivorous cravings.While our main courses were exceptional, the Margaritas we ordered did leave room for improvement. They were somewhat weak and lacked the robust flavor we were anticipating. Despite this, the cocktails did little to dampen our spirits or the overall enjoyment of our meal.The ambiance of the restaurant was welcoming and conducive to a good time, further elevating our dining experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring our needs were met throughout our visit. Their professionalism and warmth contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere.In conclusion, our visit to Red Lobster in Cape Girardeau was a memorable one. Although the Margaritas weren't to our liking, the superb quality of the Surf and Turf more than made up for this minor setback. We would definitely recommend this establishment to seafood and steak lovers alike, looking forward to returning ourselves for another delightful meal.

My husband and I haven’t visited this Red Lobster in a while. We made reservations and were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. We were seated in a section of the restaurant that was freezing cold. I put my coat on as soon as we were seated. Then when another table complained of the cold temperature and were then seated elsewhere the heat was turned up too high.Our food was not up to the normal standards we usually experience at your restaurant. The shrimp was all over cooked or greasy. Also, the tails were left on the shrimp in a pasta dish that my husband ordered so he had to pull them out of the sauce and remove the tails before he could eat this dish.Iced tea should also have at least some ice in it so that the tea is not room temperature.Our server seemed nice but should have offered to at least clear the appetizer dish and dirty dishes from our table rather than leaving us with a table full of dirty dishes.It could have been an off night or just as a whole improvements could be made

Saturday night, I went in with a few friends and it was amazing!!!! The food was great, and everything was done in a timely manner. Our server Abigale was just a doll. She recommended the entrees we got and they did not disappoint. We will definitely be coming back.

The Thundercat

Close this place down if you don’t have enough staff or are too cheap to pay decent people to run it, we went in Sunday night, at 7, waited an hour, only 1/3rd of the tables were open, food was terrible, service was bad I’d imagine because they’re stressed, who’s running this place because I’d fire them tomorrow

The food is alway excellent , the problem was we could not enjoy our food , because the restaurant was like a freezer. I didn’t think to bring a jacket because it is in the 70’s today , I heard other customers saying the same thing. Next I will bring a jacket. But you should not have to when it is warm outside

This restaurant was excellent in January and bad in February. Today, they ran out of baked potatoes for an hour and we had been there for 20 minutes when they told us that. Service was agonizingly slow, shrimp scampi was tough. Why can’t you get a manager that knows what they’re doing???

Didn't bring my salad out until after my entree and I had to ask about it. Then they asked me if I wanted to take it home they would box it up for me. Other than that couldn't of had a better server her name was Winter. Always celebrate my birthday at Red Lobster.
