Our family has recently dined at Shogun twice after not trying it for many years. Both times, it has been excellent. Lunch for a family of two adults and three children barely broke $30 for all we could desire to eat, and all sushi rolls were delicious. The current restaurant’s dining area and decor have an excellent high-end ambience considering the modest cost. Color me impressed… we can’t eat fast food for that little.

I am new to the area so I was very unsure why the pricing was so much lower than the rest of the sushi places in town (I worked at a sushi bar for many years so I'm extremely picky about freshness and quality and I also ordered to go which can be difficult with this type of cuisine.) This is by far the best sushi I've eaten in a VERY long time. All the dishes were very fresh and rolls well balanced (not too sauce or cream cheese heavy) 10/10 recommend if you're a sushi lover! A couple rolls did come unrolled but that's not too much of an issue in my book. The tempura, gyoza, and edamame were also great.

Walked in and got seated after about 15 minutes of standing. Once sat we waited 25 minutes and never got a drink or anything so we left.

Very disappointed. I’ve been to Shogun a couple times in the past and there have never been any issues. However, this time someone thought it would be a good idea to serve browned salmon. See attached photos. The chef and, what I believe to be the manager, came and said that the salmon was good, and that they all come from the same piece of salmon, but I expected better from a brand name like Shogun. It didn’t help that communication was difficult, as they tried justifying and assuring me that the salmon was good. They did eventually give me 2 new pieces to replace them, but the fact that they brought browned ones in the first place makes me question this location. Will not be coming back…
Would you eat the sushi they brought me?

I got steak but it had no flavor. It was fun watching the cooks. My first time there. Friends got lobster, salmon and chicken and it was all over cooked and dry. Noodles were dripping with oil.

Very cozy with a variety of different serving styles. The staff was friendly and patient as I didn't really know the menu.
