Our family has recently dined at Shogun twice after not trying it for many years. Both times, it has been excellent. Lunch for a family of two adults and three children barely broke $30 for all we could desire to eat, and all sushi rolls were delicious. The current restaurant’s dining area and decor have an excellent high-end ambience considering the modest cost. Color me impressed… we can’t eat fast food for that little.
I am new to the area so I was very unsure why the pricing was so much lower than the rest of the sushi places in town (I worked at a sushi bar for many years so I'm extremely picky about freshness and quality and I also ordered to go which can be difficult with this type of cuisine.) I got steak but it had no flavor. It was fun watching the cooks. My first time there. Friends got lobster, salmon and chicken and it was all over cooked and dry. Noodles were dripping with oil.
