This will now be my new favorite place in the Cape Girardeau area! I ordered the Beef Bourguignon and my goodness it was amazing! Very upscale and everything on their menu seemed to be perfected and our waitress provided some excellent service! Thank you Top of the Marq for providing an amazing experience! The balcony was an amazing view aswell!

We had a delicious and delightful dinner with our daughter (who was visiting from San Francisco). Top of the Marq ranks as high as many of the fine restaurants in San Fran. She was impressed as were we.

Did not receive food as described on the menu. Pork loin is NOT pork tenderloin which is what is listed on the menu. When questioned, the waitress said no, the menu says pork medallions. Tried it, did not eat it and my plate was picked up with no questions asked about why I did not eat it. Later I looked at the menu on line and saw the it does in fact state pork tenderloin which is a more expensive cut of meat. Disappointing experience overall.

Very good comfort food!! I have to eat gluten free so the beef was my only option on the main course. There are more gf options for small plates. My fiancé had the gumbo and loved it! It's a beautiful place with a great view of the river and bridge.

My favorite restaurant when I’m in Cape Girardeau. Italian salad is the best In my opinion. It’s fresh, flavorful, the green olives is something you don’t see on salads all the time adds a nice flavor. The roasted carrots are very flavorful and you get a pretty large portion tonight I tried the blacken shrimp, it’s exactly what I expected good size portion, and very well seasoned. Their menu has changed so unfortunately I cannot get the jerk chicken skewers but that is forced me to try different things.The establishment is very clean nice seating, and great outdoor views if the weather permits. The service has been great. I have nothing but great things to say. Whether sitting at a table or sitting at the bar, you can’t go wrong.
Food was disappointing, but restaurant itself is very cool. At the top of an old beautiful building with great views of the river and cool seating areas. We tried several of the social plates and the only thing we liked was the blackened shrimp. It was delicious! But we were there early on a weeknight and they were already out of some things we really wanted. The other things we tried were pretty bland and didn’t really seem freshly made - truffle fries with no truffle flavor, street corn nachos only had about three kernels of corn, blueberry siracha chicken just tasted like…chicken, and grape and Brie crostini seemed cooked within an inch of its life and then sat out for a while. It all was okay but just sort of a let down.

This is a very cool restaurant with exquisite ambience but the food did not meet the mark. Excuse the pun, I couldn’t resist. I would say the only thing worth the money was the pork chop. Everything else was not good for the price. But I love the views of the river and the city as well as the interior architecture. Yes you were concerned about wasting but still want to see the restaurant just go for a drink.
