My wife and I went today. She had the burnt ends and I had the porksteak with cole slaw and baked beans. The pork steak was so tender and juicy, fell off of the bone and seasoned perfect. The slaw was awesome and the baked beans! Ooohhhh the baked beans. They are.the best I have ever had. if you have never tried it, check it out.

The best pork steak in Cape Girardeau hands down!! Wife had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious too. Wish I would have found this place sooner. Will definitely be back
What a great place and experience -traveling looking for good bbq and they had 5 out of 5 stars and that was no lie -gave us a sample and great people even a lady walked up to our door to tell us about the ribs we got the pork steak sandwich and pulled pork to put in Motorhome for the trip.
This place is a SMALL building in an open lawn. Found it on Google reviews while looking for a good BBQ place in Cape Girardeau. The town was a day stop on a Mississippi River cruise. My wife and I decided to just walk around town on our own to sightsee and grab lunch. As is my habit when I'm out of town I look for a memorable place. Not necessarily fancy, stylish or expensive just delicious local fare. Here on the Delta that would be BBQ. My search turned up True-Que out on the edge of the city center about a 20 or 30 minute walk from the dock. It's funky (as all truly good BBQ places should be). Very funky You order at a walk up window and eat at one of the 2 tables or take away. They seemed to do a steady takeaway business and the phone orders were steady too. Having read the reviews for the pork steak that's what I got with a side of fries and Mac & cheese. Momma got the rib sandwich with a side of sauce. Fries and Mac were nothing special but the meat was spectacular. Really. Incredible. Go. Eat. Enjoy.

Some of the best barbecue we have had in a long time. Local had told us about it being the best and they were right. Had it for dinner one night and then went back to get more the day before we left town and put it in the RV freezer for later. Definite must go to if you like BBQ and are in the area.
