We just came to this town to tour it because it had old buildings. We came across Shirley's neighborhood tavern and thought it was very eclectic. We didn't stay but we will return.
This little bar is a diamond in the rough. Fresh cooked everything! No pre pkg appetizers. Made to order fried portobello mushrooms, fresh cut fries, seasoned to perfection. The Little Shirley was delicious. Top notch, friendly service, too! The only downside is the throwback 1970s, "smoking inside this little place is fine" vibe. Not sure we'd go back for dine-in because of that, but pretty sure they have take out!
