Called in an order. Showed to pick up the food and had to wait 30 minutes to get it and I think that was only because I finally asked. They seemed to get to my order after that. People who placed orders after me including to-go orders got their food probably 10 before mine. Very odd and disappointing service. The guy in front of me in line had the same experience, just ordered a sandwich and was asking me if the service was typical that bad. Hope the food is good to make an hour wait worth it.
Excellent burgers 🍔 and homemade onion rings!

The lean brisket and turkey are always excellent.

Good food but they charge extra to use a debit card. Their prices are high enough to cover operating expense of using a debit card.
Dropped in for a late lunch. Prices were reasonable. Our group chose the sandwich platters with a side. My wife and I chose premium sides (minimal upcharge) and the servings were very generous. Chopped brisket was good, but the onion rings were FANTASTIC. You could tell they were the fresh hand-dipped kind, not the kind out of a freezer bag.

I had the loaded potato with pulled pork, folks the pulled pork was on the side with a small loaded potato. All the other BBQ places that i have eaten at put the pulled pork on the large loaded potato, it was good , but the owner of this establishment doesn't give a veterans discount.

The brisket slice lean was the best flavor and tender . I have not had brisket that well made ever . And we eat lots of BBQ. They have a cozy, nice setting . The cole slaw is amazing . We enjoyed out lunch . And the staff are well trainer and friendly , thank you .

My husband and I have been eating at Big Ben's frequently since they opened. That's a lot of visits. Food is good but the service is not. We tend to have the same mistake made with our order over and over again. We order the loaded fries but get nachos instead. I'm not one to complain so most of the time we just eat the nachos and don't say anything, but today I said something. And then I was told I had to pay the difference in price...WHAT!!! you made the mistake and you're making me pay for it! I was with a group and by the time my corrected order came out everyone else was done eating. They also messed up the orders of two other tables sitting near us. They also put our name in wrong and so we didn't know they were calling us when the food was ready. And please tell your employees to speak up. It's always hard to understand them.

Pulled pork sandwich with slaw and beans on the side. Meat was trash. Entire bun soaked from slaw. Onion rings are onion tangles. Save the money and smoke your own.

I work in Carthage live in Seneca. We ordered $154 worth of samplers and absolutely love big Ben’s. I was asked if I wanted sauce on my port. I replied on the side please paid trusting there would be bbq sauce with silverware in our three huge bags. Got all the way to Seneca and there wasn’t one bbq sauce! Pretty sure this is the biggest desire about buying bbq. I called to state we didn’t get sauce advised I wanted it on the side and was called a liar by the man who took my order and the girl that took my call. You have premium bbq but very poor customer service. I was very disappointed.

Ordered pulled pork with texas toast and 2 sides. The toast had to be a side, I found that weird. Pulled pork came out looking like paste. The Mac and cheese tasted like the one you get at the walmart deli. The fried pickles tasted frozen and out of a pre-made bag. And ther waitress had a small attitude. If it was cheaper it would be ok for what it is. But not what you expect from a BBQ restaurant.

Cold food. Scoop the green beans from the bottom, where they are hot, not off the top. They say the toast is a small side so I didn't order a side that I wanted, I ordered toast. So I ended up with 2 toasts. Lame. They forgot our 2 hot sauce orders. Gal taking our order was not helpful at all and also couldn't make out a word she said.listed as being in Joplin. We drove 30+ minutes ..location is in Carthage. Long drive for crappy food.
