This place rates a big meh. The food was OK and the interior of the restaurant is quite attractive. The service was excellent. But the food wasn’t good enough to justify the price. Truly big city prices for very routine food.

There was a fly in my drink, which really ruined the meal for me. On top of that, the whole place feels completely different now—very Americanized, and the food quality has gone way down. My brother worked here briefly (a long time ago) and mentioned it wasn’t very clean behind the scenes, and honestly, I believe it. The place just doesn’t feel sanitary anymore.

So much has changed here in such a short span. I believe the ownership or management has changed at Habanero’s . Quite possibly some of the cooks or maybe just the food. What I will say is we found a fly in one of our drinks and the quesabirria tacos are constantly changing. Rather than frying the taco they have opted to simply dip a corn tortilla in conzume and call it a day. And what is the point of asking me if I want cilantro and onion if you’re going to bring it out with the cilantro and onion not even in the taco? It was really annoying flagging down the waiter and scraping the cilantro and onion off just to prepare it myself. The agua de Jamaica is more watered down than before and the atmosphere has opted for modern and lacking culture. Por favor, dejen de americanizar todos los restaurantes mexicanos.

Just passing thru and tried this place. We were in a bit of a hurry and i tell you, they were fast. I didnt even ask them to be but they were. Food was fantastic. My kids and I were very happy
