Sirloin Stockade in Carthage Missouri has biggest salad bar and buffet that in my opinion cost too much. For a couple (two people) eating there on Friday at lunch time costs $35 plus they charge 3% if you use a credit card, and folks that's with water to drink. My wife had salad and chicken livers and she said they were the best she had ever eaten. I had what was supposed to be potroast and there was more potatoes and carrots than meat, the buffet has ribs, fish filet, baked...
Absolutely delicious! We've been to the location in Rolla and thought it was okay. Heard this location was better and it definitely is! Melt in your mouth brisket, flavorful meatloaf, baked potatoes brought to the table, cinnamon butter for the rolls, delicious apple cobbler, and a really great salad bar. They also have a fish-topped rice dish that was super unique and delicious. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
Both a steakhouse and an American-style buffet restaurant, it's a wonderful spot for meat-lovers and family gatherings. The steaks are good, not great, but good. Might be a bit chewy (ordered medium-rare) but the juice and the flavors were there. A good range of options for the buffet, from fried chicken to meatloaf, to spaghetti and meatballs just to name a few.
The dessert bar is definitely the highlight. So many great treats! Staff was helpful and welcoming....
