Very bad experience. Ordered some takeout and literally other than a couple of items everything else was inedible. Literally had to throw a whole burger out because of how bad the meat smelled. Never going back.

Delicious. Reliable. Great variety. Nicely kept, cozy space for a meal-in and a good choice for take out as well.

Parking: Locally owned!!

I went to Ammas Kitchen for the second time today. I got the most fantastic Gyro. It was almost too much for me to eat. It was delicious. I will return for a third visit.

RATE MISLEADS YOU: As of Oct/24, seems that restaurant changed name and owner and Google review 4.5 stars still reflects the old one.
Definitely not a place that I will go back.

We came across this place on accident, and we were pleasantly surprised. The gyro plate is phenomenal, as was the chicken shawarma! We were so pleased with these two meals, that we forgot we ordered the tabouleh. WOW! Refreshing and amazing! I can't wait to come back. The woman working there did it all, and she deserves a raise! Ammas Kitchen will definitely have our support from here on out!

This place used to be better. Food quality has gone downhill drastically. The grape leaves were absolutely nuked and the gyro plate was a big bowl of onion and rice with a few chunks of gyro meat. Won't be returning unfortunately

went this past weekend, quality of food was very poor. Hummus was thin and runny and had to be discarded. Shawarma plates were very disappointing - just rice, caramelized onions and a few pieces of meat. I ordered the vegetable rice and there were only onions. Only thing that was good was the baba ganoush.

Sara was amazing and very sweet, service was great! She recommend the Gyro sandwich. It was freshly cooked and it was delicious.

Vegetarian options: I saw vegetarian options on the menu.

Food took forever, and the gyro wasn't very good. The fries seemed like they had been cooked before, then re-cooked to serve. The facility needed cleaning in a major way.

When you walk in the door it looks deserted. It was very confusing. 3-4 TVs on the wall that were turned off, no ambiance music, the glass food displays were completely empty and there was no food aroma. The ‘open’ sign was off, we actually ckd google to double ck the hours.

None of the menu items came out as described! Ordered ice tea, they didn’t have any. Ordered bottle water, they didn’t have cold bottled water. Ordered diet soda which we don’t normally drink, they didn’t have diet soda. So we had nothing to drink which made the meal very difficult to eat!

Do not recommend this restaurant and will not go back.

This place must have recently been sold and is now under new ownership. Fair warning that the food isn't what it used to be, unfortunately and is now more Indian vs Mediterranean/Greek although this wasn't apparent from reading the menu online.

This is the first Google review I've ever written, and it's for a place that truly deserves it. There are very few restaurants in the entire St. Louis area that can rival Grapevine Grill in terms of quality for price. I got the Gyro sandwich (which comes with fries) for just $8, and I was very happy

Based on these reviews I thought it was going to be good but.... no.
Sadly disappointed.
First, let me say this is not Mediterranean. This is Indian based food trying to cover as Mediterranean and its not authentic whatsoever. We ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich and beef/lamb gyro, 2 samosas and fries.
The samosa (as expected) were quite indian flavored and a bit over fried. The chicken shawarma sandwich was on the same pita as a gyro but had nothing on it but chicken and sauce. It was grey, it tasted weird, really weird and looked even worse. The beef gyro was okay, not the best but good enough. The fries were fine. We ordered this for pickup and when my husband paid at the counter, they tried to automatically put a tip of $6.30, on a small order. For takeout. He did the math in his head and had to call them out before he paid it. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we wont be back.

We ordered the sampler, however they were out of the 1 item. The stuffed grape leaves were terrible, had a strange flavor and were soggy, drenched in oil. The hummus was more like a bowl of tahini. We then ordered the gyro, the fries were still partially frozen. The meat did not look like I had seen in other pictures posted here.Ours looked chewed up and spit out. The taziki was tasteless. There was a smell of sewer in the eating area.
