After eating here several times over the years I thought it was time to leave a review. This establishment is consistently delicious. My family thoroughly enjoyed the experience and everyone loved their dinners. Steaks were cooked perfectly, the Ahi Tuna was exceptional, and our desserts were top tier. Prices are high but we had a fantastic evening overall. We loved the overall ambiance and the dim lighting. Valets were super friendly too! I look forward to my next visit.

Perfect date-night spot! Excellent steaks and chops, cooked exactly as ordered. Attentive service and intimate atmosphere. Pricey, but worth it for the quality and experience.

Only one issue...the birthday girl's dinner had to be re-ordered as they sent out salmon, and not sea bass as ordered. So unfortunately her dinner was not served with ours, which was disappointing. The waiter apologized, and took full responsibility.....it happens......the food was delicious though.

Easily one of the best restaurants in STL—if not the best!Server Gustavo and General Manager Andrew were both so personal and professional. Highly recommend the “Down Home Shrimp” appetizer and any of the steaks—exquisite! Also, the cocktails were incredible...and the crème brûlée and ice cream sandwich for dessert were to die for! We truly enjoyed our fine dining experience at 801 Chophouse! We'll be back very soon.

We love eating at the bar and this evening was a particularly fun experience due to the waitstaff, Kristy's attentiveness and hospitality. Filet and seabass were delicious along with sides. 801 Chophouse in STL never disappoints.

I found the waiter slow and rude at the beginning. It took 15-20 minutes after we set down before he came over to greet us. Then we asked for water, and he rudely replied "I'll get to it!"

We had incredible food, wine and service. Three of us had the fillet mignon which was perfectly cooked. One person in our group had the salmon which was also cooked exactly as ordered. Everything came to the table perfectly timed and hot. As a table we shared the scalloped potatoes and asparagus. We recommend both of these side options. For dessert we had crème brûlée , chocolate cake, and the bread pudding. All of the desserts were delicious. A Negroni was another diners option for dessert and it was fantastic. 801 Chophouse is highly recommended for a very special dining experience and night out.

1st experience at 801 on NYE. We originally had reservations at another steakhouse but was convinced by a friend to try 801. She frequently eats here and had great things to say. She requested Nate’s section and expressed how good his service is. My experience with the service was average at best. We didn’t get the menu rundown as we saw the other tables receive nor did we get the cart with cuts of meat brought to the table. He seemed rushed and lacked the attentiveness we expected. I wasn’t offered another cocktail, bread had to be requested after we received our appetizers. I expected exceptional service but was quite disappointed however the food was very good. Idk if since we were with a regular patron he didn’t think it was a big deal but 1st impressions matter& we left feeling like we should’ve kept the other reservation.

My children took me here for Christmas. They know I love steak. I had petite filet. The sides were grilled asparagus and scalloped potatoes. I like small asparagus and this was large. The scalloped potatoes were made in a unique way, they were layered like lasagne. I've made better and I'm not a chef. The French onion soup was delicious however. We were ignored and had finished plates left on the table for at least 15 minutes. Along with plates not being cleared our drinks were gone as well. My granddaughter had Mac cheese and French fries and the fries were the best part of dinner. Longhorn Steakhouse has better service and food and it doesn't cost $100+ per person. Our experience was not good.
