Disappointed! They are not open even though their web site and maps says so. We drove a ways. Not good

Love Love Love! And as Luck would have it. We didn’t look out of place at all. In fact it was a perfect photo opportunity and our waitress every recommended the Perfect food and drink pairings.

I highly recommend the truffled and soft shell crab appetizers. They're both outstanding! I also enjoyed the braised short rib very much. Definitely a restaurant worth the visit!

Generally, loved Bar Les Freres--the ambiance and the food. However, in the last two times, it has fallen well short of its previous experience. First, at the reception desk, the gentleman was far too interested in his phone than he was in welcoming us. After watching him on his phone (he was not talking to anyone) I had to "politely" interrupt him to get his attention that we had been standing next to him. Without much of a comment, he showed us to a table. Nothing else. Waitress ("A") showed up, brought two drinks and immediately asked what we wanted. We asked for specials, she told us, and then stared at our drinks and asked, again, what we wanted. We said we wanted some time to have a drink and think about it. She came by later, nothing about another drink, etc. and it was apparent that she just wanted to get the "order in". We did order, the food was good, but the general "feel" of the waiter was to "rush" us and get us out. Good, not great, food. Good, not great, drinks. Completely indifferent help.

Great atmosphere, wine selection and balanced dishes. We love French cuisine and this was the best one we have had in Stl.

Been about a year since we have dined here, but as usual was outstanding. Had a 6 PM Saturday reservation and hostess opened door for us with a smile and took us to our table that was waiting. Waitress was engaging, and total staff attentive, professional and worked together as a team. Appetizers and entrees excellent. Had the scallop app which was also a entree special and was perfect (seared and cooked to perfection with a nice small broth). Was going to go with lamb chops but my wife suggested I go for the duck confit since I make decent nice lamb chops myself- but never make duck. Glad she suggested that- best duck I have ever had and the sides offered many layers to the total dish. Went well with the "house Cote de Rhone. Rich very lemony creme brulle for nice finish. Only downside was our table was small and only one type of coffee- but these were minor distractions to this 5-Star dining experience.
