We had an overnight stay in Clayton and Cafe Napoli was walking distance from our hotel. We scanned the menu and gave it a try. We chose to sit inside and were greeted by a few hostesses outside. We were a bit uncomfortable with the attire one of the hostess was wearing just a bit too revealing in my opinion for such a nice restaurant. We were seated near a window which we liked although the tables are a bit to small especially when you get drinks and appetizers to start. Our waiter was absolutely top notch. He knew the menu backwards & forward. Told us all the chef's recommendations and specials. Tried the salad which definitely 2 can share, but a very basic salad nothing fancy. The only downside I'd say was we were never offered a bread refill which was an extremely small portion. I had linguine with shrimp, scallops and sun-dried tomatoes, fantastic choice. Seasoned perfectly and l'd definitely recommend. My husband had Veal Parmesan which was good but not great a little too saucy and thin, It came with a choice of pasta or broccoli, no choices on pasta only bow tie with red sauce. Had a few drinks as well and dessert, tiramisu and a fabulous gelato with chocolate ganache. A nice restaurant overall just not a five star. Kudos to our waiter and waitstaff.
Nice table in a quiet location inside with nice ambiance. The scallops were delicious. The servers were very attentive.
We celebrated my birthday with Spencer! He was awesome! So professional, knowledgeable and kind. Our food was fabulous! Calamari, shrimp cocktail, heirloom tomato salads, rack of lamb, halibut, shrimp scampi all amazing! To finish off, we shared the tiramisu- it was divine! It's been way too long since we've dined at this location! We love all the Napoli establishments!
Excellent service and amazing food! Staff is attentive to detail and always have great specials.
Excellent meal Service was swift but did not seem pushy Salad was outstanding (slate) Veal Picatta was wonderful Chilean Sea Bass also was outstanding Portion sizes are not small! Overall an excellent meal
We had a phenomenal date night at Cafe Napoli! Our server, Spencer, was fantastic - welcoming and clear about what the specials were. Food came quickly and was absolutely delicious - we had a couple mocktails, the salmon, lobster risotto, and the bread pudding. All of which were absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be back!
Nice warm night on the patio. Spencer & his team took great care of us for dinner. Always a lovely evening at Cafe Napoli!
Always a great meal, whether with co-workers, friends or family. Thanks to Tedi for great service!
Our server, Susan, was incredibly great. Some of our food, like the eggplant parmesan and wedge salad were amazing! My scallops and shrimp pasta was really not good, oily and too much garlic. My husbands clam and shrimp pasta was good.
Food was not what I expected for the inflated prices. This used to be a very nice place to take clients but apparently they are relying on location and not quality to continue to survive. Did not make a very good choice this time.

Excellent service. Price relative to quality was not as expected. Fish was excellent but everything else was just okay.
I took my wife to Napoli in Clayton for her birthday and it delivered a memorable evening! From being seated in an intimate booth, to the halibut with morel mushrooms in brandy sauce, with tartufo for dessert, everything was perfect. Tony stopping by the table was very appreciated, and a big shout out to Spenser for his perfect service!
Baked cod is delicious. Everything was great. It is a high end experience and worth every penney.
Dinner was amazing. I had a pesto pasta that was amazing and my friends from out of town loved everything they had .. The service was great .. Will definitely go back soon.
Sadly, this is possibly the first time in 30 years of visiting Cafe Napoli in Clayton where I have been dissatisfied and disappointed. The food was not hot enough for at least two entrees. The food was tasty, just that is was served lukewarm. We were seated in the bar area. It was 7:15pm and very, very loud to the point that we could not understand the server's descriptions of off-menu items and specials.
