A great place for breakfast. Recommend a reservation.

They intentionally have had my review removed, however do NOT give your business to this place. They allow customers to assault their employees and don't back them up at all. 0 Stars. Beyond that, they don't even pay minimum wage and the workers are forced to work in temperatures that read 80 degrees on the thermostat while the male manager takes up space with his buddies or whoever at the end of the bar and then proceed to tip $3 without ever asking your name or saying thanks!

It’s not very often that you can walk in on a weekend and get a table without a wait. Today happened to be one of those rare occasions and it was perfection from the moment we parked through paying our bill. This location on Maryland Ave can sometimes be a challenge to park near. Even with metered street parking and a parking lot in back spaces fill up quick. The restaurant is small but offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor patio is fully covered offering shade on a hot summer day. The menu is full of delicious food perfect for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. The portion sizes are large and packed with flavor. Great for the whole family.

Called in a catering order 24 hours in advance, the team did an amazing job! Thank you so much.

Move over First Watch. Sunday was always a day I would go for brunch for a heart meal. Half and Half blew me away for how good everything was. French toast latte, Half and Half with turkey sausage and Blueberry Pancake.

100% would come again

They need to figure out their wait / seating.
We were there for over an hour.
They kept saying we were next in line and we finally just left.
Others arrived and they would seat them, it seems they need to work on the host area.

Half & Half is a fantastic brunch spot! Not only do they use good high quality ingredients, but they really know how to cook. I also love the menu variety. The only problem is that it can get very crowded!

The food here is fire, some of the best brunch I’ve had and I am a breakfast connoisseur. It’s a small cafe that gets really busy, well worth the experience. The coffee is amazing and the staff is friendly and work hard. Wonderful atmosphere, great food, great coffee. Go with the steak option or an omelette, breakfast rice is bomb. Come ready for an experience and open to trying something new. As for the bad reviews, everybody has an off day but this place is well worth returning for.

Really enjoyed this experience. The food was fantastic. Got the biscuits and gravy and the bacon breakfast sandwich. Both were great. Lattes were also delicious, made with Blueprint coffee (local STL)!

I read another review that was almost identical to our experience.
We were excited to try a new place and get steak and eggs for my husband's birthday. We got there not long after opening (about 8:15-8:30) and there wasn't a big crowd. So we went in and I greeted the host excitedly, "Morning!!" His response was "How can I help you?" I froze, at a loss for words, because that's not usually what hosts ask. And seeing as we were at a restaurant, was it not painfully obvious how he could help? It almost felt like he was saying "You don't belong here", and our subsequent service seemed to reflect that sentiment. We were sat, but no one came to see us for at least ten minutes. The one server I saw was chatting with some folks who I could tell came there frequently and knew him. Then he went and poured water for other tables and took their orders. We didn't even have water yet. We sat. And waited. And waited. We talked about leaving. We might as well have been part of the architecture for the amount of attention we were getting. Finally, someone, who was not our server, came and apologized for the long wait (but did not give a reason WHY the wait was long; the place wasn't THAT busy when we got there) and took our drink orders. She said our server would be with us soon. She came back with our drinks, and we STILL had not met our server. Long story short: the food and drinks were great, the service was appalling. We are an interracial couple and are somewhat used to getting dirty looks, but not subpar service. I can't say that our races impacted our service, but it sure felt that way from the start. I contemplated going full "Karen" and asking to speak to a manager, but didn't want that kind of negativity on my husband's birthday. Bottom line, we're not going back. They don't seem to need our patronage anyway, they care more about their regulars, than first-timers.

Not impressed. The latte I had was terrible. Service wasn’t good either, the waiter was very indifferent. Won’t return or recommend it.

Order the hot tea - and the stuffed french toast. Both wonderful, the tea is perfectly steeped and needs nothing!
