High Bar Clayton

My group and I received HORRIBLE service when we came in to have some drinks. I would not recommend this place if you want to have a good time with positive energy and good vibes. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

High Bar is a very cute and fun spot; however, the service was extremely disappointing. I understand that it’s the holiday season and things can get busy, but our drink orders were incorrect twice, one of our meals was forgotten, and our waitress disappeared for about 25 minutes. To make matters worse, all of our checks were incorrect and included wrong orders. When I brought this to the waitress’s attention, she brushed it off and simply said they were busy. A sincere apology would have gone a long way.

The team accommodated all of our needs from the food to the table size changes. Also I loved the heaters on the outside patio. I will definitely go back with my team during any season! The food and drinks were a chefs kiss!

So..... this place is a hidden gem in Clayton. You gotta check out the High Bar up on the 11th floor of the AC Hotel, operated by Marriott. Everyone from the GM and manager to the wait staff and bartenders were extremely helpful, professional and on their 'A' game for the entire evening. They have a great bar with nice spacious booths, tables and a lounge area with leather sofas for seating. The entire hotel staff was amazing, including the front desk clerks and valet. Highly recommend.

This place was a complete letdown. The customer service was awful and it makes zero sense to even ask about special occasions on the reservation app if the staff doesn’t bother to read it. The lighting was so poor we could barely see our food, and the fireplace was shut off at 7 PM. When I asked about turning it back on, no one ever returned.
Our server was unprofessional from start to finish. She brought out ice cream without asking, even though we were getting ready to leave, so it just melted. Her outfit looked more like farm attire than anything appropriate for an “upscale, private experience.” I had to remind her it was my husband’s birthday, even though it was clearly stated in the reservation.
The atmosphere is nothing like Instagram portrays not even close. She asked what drink I wanted and then brought me a can, no glass offered. Upscale restaurants don’t do that. Honestly, everyone working the 6:15 PM Monday shift showed the same lack of care, including the bar staff.
This was not worth anyone’s birthday celebration, and I wish I had gone to 360 either location.The only reason I tipped 20% was because of the economy, not because the service deserved it. Your website and instagram does not match the atmosphere!

Thighs were flavorful but should not be used for a sandwich as they are stringy. Love the view and service was ok. She was pleasant enough

Great atmosphere nice vibe, music ok and laid back, the food was ok, nothing I would order a second time. I had the chicken sandwich and it lack flavor, taste like they didn’t use any seasoning . But the presentation was nice.
Drinks are very weak , I think they forgot to add the liquor.

We went here for the first time on Saturday evening at 5:45. The atmosphere was fabulous. I loved the comfy chairs and the open atmosphere. I had the top shelf margarita and it was delicious (although they forgot the salt for the second one). We had the crab dip, burger and ice cream and it was yummy. The service was honestly not great. There was no sense of urgency and our waiter was very nice but he would leave for 15 minutes without checking on us. Our eaters sat empty forever and i left very thirsty. At this price point ($20 margarita in STL) I expected better service. Some training would probably be a good idea. Other than that, it was great and I’ll be back 😊
