If it was the last restaurant standing in Clayton I would go hungry. Employees were not educated to know the menu. They also did not tell me the hours they were open, serving, or offering carry out. I can see why their other restaurant closed, maybe they will have the same luck here and close for good.
If you're looking for old world Italian, stop looking. Everything looks amazing but I could barely finish the Aeagosta with the freshest bread. All I can say is marone. It's a little hard to find but worth the the look. You'll be happy you did
I had the salmon special with crab risotto and it was fabulous! We always enjoy Il Palato—the salmon was truly exceptional. Thank you!
Waiter was exceptional and attentive. We all loved the dishes we selected. Definitely go back. Really enjoyed our experience
We especially like the atmosphere. I think when you go to dinner, it's not just the food which is of course the most important thing, but also the ambience this is a really quiet and elegantly space.
That foods it’s excelent!! 🔥🔥
All about it. From the greeting to the last bite just a great time with wonderful food. It's got a family feel that's fun.
Our waiter Jack did a fabulous job . He gave us time to enjoy our cocktails before ordering dinner. Our food was delicious as always. Loved seeing how busy the restaurant was too. It's a beautiful space to have dinner at!
Dined with two friends on a Saturday night. Ordered the fish special x 2, lobster ravioli dish, plus salads for each of us. Food was phenomenal! Enjoyed the cocktails and wine (recommend the Italian margarita) but after dinner espresso martinis were pretty average. Service was great throughout the meal (7:30 reservation) but we had the bill brought to our table without prompting around 9:00 after our after dinner drinks had just arrived. From then on, we felt rushed to leave and didn't have any follow up from our server despite water glasses being empty. We left about 9:30 as the other parties were getting up to leave. I checked the hours after arriving home and realized they close at 9. The rush makes sense now, I just didn't expect them to close so early on a Saturday with reservations up until 8:00 available. Great food and overall service, will return when we can eat a bit earlier!
Food was just ok. Service was completely inattentive. Waters were not refilled without us asking. Drinks were not refilled without us asking. In town for the Twins and Cardinals game and wish we would have ventured for an authentic meal. Would not return.

Great service , ambience and value . Staff was very attentive. Prices are very reasonable for a nice Italian restaurant
Very sleek modern decor. Wonderful food. A great wine by the glass selection. Super service!
The restaurant was really nice and cozy. And the service was great too. We loved the food it was delicious, especially we loved pizzette❤️ however the only reason I give 4 stars right now is because most of the food we ordered was over salted, unfortunately. Anyways we’ll comeback and I would be happy to change from 4 to 5.
It was a fabulous night at Il Palato. Food was excellent, service was outstanding and the ambiance cozy. We'll be back soon!
This place was amazing! My favorite thing was the Tuna Crudo appetizer. It was so fresh and flavorful. We also had the fritto misto which was wonderful, too—not overly fried—the sea food itself was the real star and the scallops were juicy and cooked PERFECTLY. The lobster pasta and the beef short rib were both so good. There were no misses at our dinner. Everything was perfect, and I really appreciated that staff was so friendly and welcoming even though we were dressed down since we just came from a dance competition.
