I had the best experience and it was all thanks to our amazing server, Kiersten. She was quick, funny, and incredibly personable from the moment we sat down. There was a little mix-up with our order, and she noticed it right away and fixed it immediately, pure professionalism.

The mushroom pizza was phenomenal. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a long time. The Old Fashioned was fantastic. Must try the maple pecan gelato! Risotto balls - chefs kiss!

Kiersten, along with the fantastic food and drinks, has officially made me a return customer. She’s hands-down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. If you go, definitely request her!

Still dreaming about the chopped salad. I wish I could eat that everyday. Also the dark chocolate gelato. So good!!

The best part of the experience was the service. The staff was friendly and attentive, which I appreciate. Unfortunately, the food was another story. The tiramisu was tasty. Everything else was a huge disappointment. I'm not likely to eat here again. There's definitely much better dining in Clayton with comparable prices and experience.

Nice lovely ambiance with reasonable pizza and pasta dishes. They are fresh and nicely done but the restaurant will not be my top pick for a pizza or pasta- basic style and taste. The wine was ok and nothing special.

They have a really nice market in there now that sells nice wines and spirits and provisions. Really top notch!

We had a rehearsal dinner at Pastaria. Everything about it was great-the food, the service, the atmosphere. I'm from out of town but want to go back for more Risotto balls! Everyone enjoyed the dinner, couldn't have been happier with our choice for this get together.

This place is the best hand-made Italian in the area. The Cacio e Pepe is amazing, as are all the pizzas. Corkage allows you to bring your own wine which is great. (Fee)

Recently had dinner here and it was amazing as always! Love a consistent dinner spot. Our server Jason was great. The only thing that would make this place better is if they were open for lunch again - I miss the 1/2 salad, 1/2 pasta special.

We have been coming to Pastaria for years, addicted to the Cacio e Pepe, warm ambiance, and tasty everything. When my husband and I got married, we realized there was nowhere else we would rather take all our family and friends for a wedding dinner. Madi and the team could not have been more hospitable, welcoming, and organized.

The food was as delicious when serving 100 people as just the two of us on a date. The team allowed us to pick and choose all our favorite dishes, rearrange the tables, and were extremely accommodating of super specific dietary restrictions, special drink requests, and handled the inevitable chaos that accompanies all weddings with grace. Granted, we likely had a little bit more -- there was a tornado in Clayton the day of our event (!), but Madi and team were so calm and centered despite the hectic energy we brought in! We lost our placecards, Madi and team immediately jumped in and said don't worry, we'll start making them! We found the placecards, the team said no worries, we'll put them out!

The service was incredible, everyone so warm, accommodating, and easygoing. Food is a 10/10 every time. Madi and team even heard about how much we loved pretzels and bows and made us a giant bow shaped pretzel 🥹

Whether you're considering Pastaria for a casual family dinner, date for two, or your whole wedding, we can safely say we've done them all and had the most incredible experience every single time. Truly our favorite STL restaurant 🩶

Dog-friendly patio and excellent service. We brought our pup and were seated outside right away. Our server was wonderful—warm, attentive, and impressively fast. The arancini arrived hot and creamy with bright sauces, the wood-fired pizza had a tender, blistered crust with a cloud of fresh cheese, and the layered pasta was rich and comforting without being heavy. Relaxed vibe, fair prices, and staff who genuinely seem happy you’re there (pup included). Five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
