One of my favorite spots for delicious japanese food. Great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above. I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here.

Extremely sad to see this restaurant closed...went to website and saw it is not open....no more Stan the man roll-fingers crossed for another location? This place is too good to be closed.TANI IS TERMINATING OPERATIONS IN ITS CURRENT LOCATION.

Japanese food, so good. Will surely make a return trip. The bill was fair I would say.

First I will start by saying the sushi was good but the service was terrible. I was highly disappointed for the price you pay at restaurant in Clayton you would expect better quality service. The food was slow to arrive, we had to ask for same thing several times. I did not get my appetizer and when asked, I was the kitchen was backed up so I cancelled it. The food order was slow and the waitress spilled red wine on my jacket and the one top of mine. She did not bother to pay for the drink she spilled or pay for the dry clean. Lastly, the bathroom was dirty. There was no toliet paper or paper towels. It was as if this bathroom was not tended to all night. I will say that when Tani was in the old location around the corner, the quality service was much better.

Best sushi by far in St. Louis, and the cocktails were on par! Naomi took care of us all night. The place was packed but we were never left wanting. Best sushi spot in Clayton!!! Love these girls!! Was a blast.... food was amazing

First time I have been here but the food is great. If you are looking for a last minute meal this the place to go sense they stay open longer than other sushi restaurants. Only downside was one of the guys at the host desk . He didn't acknowledge me or said hello...he just glared and put his head back down. But the girl that came was very nice and my waiter Nicholas very attentive.

Worst service ever!!!! How is this place possibly open? You have to legit ask for everything, your check, a fork, a to go box!!! Food has gone down hill, service is short

I was so looking forward to trying this sushi restaurant. I was really let down. I follow Tani on Instagram and was excited about trying the OMG Roll and some of the other rolls I've seen on IG. First thing I noticed when I walked in was a need for an update. A few of the seats were chipped and worn out. The padding on the bench was faded and worn. I was amazed that they were out of lemonade and Riesling. We substituted it with an Chardonnay and water. The Chardonnay was old and the water glasses had old lipstick marks on them. Only thing that wasn't disappointing was the rolls. the OMG Roll was as good as expected. The Caterpillar Roll was awesome. Even though the food was good, the ambience of the restaurant is just as important. The restaurant is in need of some TLC.

Was traveling for work and popped in for a drink and sushi. Sushi was great. Had the sex and the city roll- nice crunch, but pretty spicy. Great atmosphere with lots of friendly people. Bartender was a lot of fun and seemed like a nice group of staff. Ended up staying longer than I expected to!

My favorite sushi place in St. Louis. Every roll is so tasty. I LOVE the Oh My God roll. They have great drinks and an awesome atmosphere. Eat here!!

We came to go somewhere else, but it was freezing and this was closer! FOOD: - Oh My God Roll. This looked very cool and was IG/snap worthy. Sushi that is on fire and stays on fire for atleast a minute if not 2! To be honest, so many roles taste the same to me so i can't comment too much. It tasted decent and i can see myself ordering it again. - Jalapeño Roll. This was straight up the smallest portion size i have ever gotten. Only 4 pieces! i am not sure if this was a mistake or what. Tasted better than the OMG roll, in my opinion. AMBIENCE: - This is a suave place. There is very Cherry Blossom and Geisha type theme. I saw quite a few people here on what looked like dates, so a cute date spot as well. It was relatively quiet, i like this because loud music annoys me. Mostly adults, not a family type place. SERVICE: - Typical, nothing out of the normal. No one was rude but no one was particularly outstanding. Nice and sweet. I wasn't too impressed by the sushi, the meat itself wasn't amazing and the rolls were just pretty typical. The presentation of the OMG roll was definitely very cool. Decent sushi spot and i can see myself coming back. If you want to try a new place,, give this one a sho

Visited on a Friday night and was shown to a very unstable table but lucky we could move to another. Good service and help with the menu, ordered a nice selection and was good value.

The "oh my god" roll is to die for. First, the flames look aesthetic. Secondly, the taste of the crab and avocado cannot be beat. Finally, the smoky aroma brings the taste to whole 'nother level! The Miami roll exceeded my expectations! The tuna and fried, crunch texture definitely hit the spot. The ginger house salad was a classic amazing appetizer to start off the meal. It wasn't too filling and was the best filler to appease hunger before the real meal came!

I went at lunch time got the incredible roll nothing was incredible about it , it's a California roll with grill salmon on top with crab, scallops, and green mussels with seafood sauce, eel sauce, and ponzu sauce.... Mine came out did not have any scallops are green mussels but they charged me full price for that roll then the service was not great it wasn't that many people in there but how long it took the waitress to come to the table you would have thought it was packed... Took so long for her to come by the table couldn't even order a drink.... I would not go back there again........
